Welcome to my fortnightly Sales Report from the 2nd July to 15th July. If this is the first report you’re reading, I hope you can find some value from it, maybe entice you into a new market for gold-making.
I didn’t write this report to boast; it’s more of an opportunity to prove that if I can do it, you can too! Check out what I’ve been selling and incorporate it into your posting routines.
To explain why I only do my reports over a fortnightly time frame, read this post.
TSM Ledger:
If you’re unaware of the TSM Ledger, it is a great tool available from the TSM website. The Ledger collects your purchase and sales data from the app and gives you the freedom to build reports.
If you’ve not used TSM Ledger yet, and you use the TSM app, give the Ledger a try; you can find out some fascinating information about your gold-making.
I returned from holiday on the 5th July, hence why sales start from the 6th. Again, I didn’t get to post all the auctions on all characters, but a fantastic return, as outlined below.
Selected Sales:
Below is a selection of sales from the markets I operate within. If there’s a market that interests you, click on the links added to view my guides.
With the recent lawsuit against Activision Blizzard and many streamers and players taking the difficult decision to quit World of Warcraft, I’ve also considered my options and will continue to play.
However, doing so doesn’t mean I do not condemn those responsible for what they’ve done; oh, I do! Instead, I believe, staying, showing support to those that desperately need us, and demand change.
I have offered my support to @ABetterABK and will continue to participate in any future protests/walkouts hoping we can amplify the voices of those affected and show Activision Blizzard that enough is enough.

The Sales Report:
For the third fortnight running [Medallion of the Legion] was top of the sales report. This fortnight, I made 4.05m gold worth of purchases and earned 7.7m gold in sales, which resulted in a profit of 3.7m gold.
Overall, it’s been another incredible fortnight’s worth of sales, not bad, considering I couldn’t post all my auctions as I went away on 28th June (as shown in the graph below).

Today, I noticed that using the TSM Ledger (via the TradeSkillMaster (TSM) Website) to detail my sales data for my Fortnightly Sales Reports was flawed. If you’ve been checking my updates regularly, you’ll be aware that I use the TSM Ledger to detail the purchases and sales for the previous fortnight. But this data is incorrect.
I assure you that there is no issue regarding the application itself; it was merely an oversight on my part!
Spreadsheet:
As well as using TSM to record my data, I also use a spreadsheet that records gold balances on all my realms. This spreadsheet records increases and decreases per realm, giving me a total gold balance across all my realms. Thus, every fortnight, the total gold made was substantially different from what TSM Ledger recorded.
Discrepancies:
Not only gold unaccounted for, but there were also discrepancies with specific items bought and sold. For example, I’d loot mailboxes with items purchased, yet TSM Ledger had no purchase data for that given fortnight. Then it dawned on me that when I use the TSM Ledger to collect data for that fortnight, it doesn’t include the sales data I made 48 hours after posting auctions from the previous fortnight.
I made 6.4m gold in purchases, and 6.7m gold in sales, thus recording a 272k profit.
The second image below is from today (01.06.21) for the same timeframe but clearly shows its sales and purchase data discrepancies compared to the previous image. This discrepancy is because I’ve incorrectly collected data for this fortnight that should’ve calculated towards last fortnight’s data.
The updated data shows 6.7m gold in purchases, and sales of 10.4m gold, thus recording a profit of 3.6m gold. This figure also corresponds with the figures collected via my spreadsheet.
For example, if I reposted expired auctions on Thursday 6th May and made a sale, when I repost my expired auctions and collect my gold next fortnight, the sale will be recorded for the new fortnightly sales data, not the last fortnight. TSM Ledger will do the opposite (because it records data by date), and it’s this that has been a flaw in all my fortnightly gold-making sales reports.
Future Gold-Making Reports:
I’ve decided to delay tomorrow’s fortnightly gold-making report (even though I completed my auctions yesterday) and will post it in two weeks. My thought process is to post my reports two weeks behind, meaning that the data collected for that fortnight will be complete and shouldn’t affect the data for future fortnightly reports.
I will no longer consolidate sales from my mailbox; instead, I will look to do so from the TSM Ledger. However, I still believe it’s best to consolidate these sales into categories, so readers can easily see the profitable markets. Unfortunately, the cut and pastes weren’t too clean, so they were hard to view.
My Apology:
I only realized about these issues this morning, and in keeping with my belief in complete transparency, I felt it was appropriate to post this immediately and offer a full explanation.
This issue was a simple oversight on my part and a result of jumping into something I didn’t fully appreciate until now, and I’m sorry for this. I’ll have clear and concise fortnightly gold-making sales reports again in two weeks; please consider checking them out.
I pride myself on these reports, as they help give those who read them an idea of whether it’s worth operating in a market I share. Flawed data will undoubtedly affect this, and hopefully, with these new changes, reassure you that the markets I operate in are incredibly profitable and worthwhile.
So, again, I apologize, and I’ll strive to do better!
Welcome to my fortnightly gold-making sales report for the fortnight ending 18th May. It’s been a fantastic fortnight of sales. I managed to post auctions on some characters during the weekend, which I feel rewarded me with increased sales in specific markets. I also finally deactivated three of my account, which I no longer use. Promptly completing character transfer last fortnight, meant today’s sales report is on time!
An excellent fortnight for Legion BoEs, I sold a couple of Anthrog’s Detthamma’s, which is a highlight. Unfortunately, these weapons have been slow to sell in the past. They’re lovely transmog items, but with the correct stats, they make a decent stat-stick too.
Crafted Uncanny & Dreadful Gear:
It pains me to say it (but no doubt a repercussion of my inability to post as often as I like), but it’s another weak return on the number of items sold. However, selling two Uncanny Combatant’s Deckpounder’s for 23k and 28k is an insane return. Just a shame I can’t post more often!
Recipes:
No doubt the highlight is the Plans: Gauntlets of the Iron Tower for 98k. I’ve been relatively slack investing in this market; with proof that this market is still worthwhile, it’s worth investing in cheap recipes again.
Replica Transmog:
Only five sales this time around. However, making 356k on five items that cost me a total of 20k is an insane return on investment. Don’t ignore those Darkmoon Artifacts! They’re slowly increasing in value as players realize how important they are for earning Replica Transmog. Check out my Darkmoon Faire guide to get started!
If you read my blog post last week regarding Huge Ogre Cache, you’ll know how profitable this niche market is. The benefit is, flipping level 10 items, which will be of interest to new players starting their Garrisons.
Lastly, I wanted to finish on two remarkable sales, Teebu’s Scorching Straight Sword for 142k and a Dark Herring for 134k, showing that there’s still hope for me selling transmog, even if it does take ages!
Conclusion:
On the whole, it’s been an incredible fortnight worth of sales. But, sadly, it still doesn’t stop the, what if’s in the back of my mind. What if I could post on Weekends more regularly. What if I had more time to post regularly. What if I could cancel and repost my undercut auctions.
Missing out on posting during the weekend, when traffic in World of Warcraft is at its highest, and not being able to cancel and repost undercut auctions will always cause me to miss out on potential sales. However, where I miss out is where you can prosper. So make the best of what time you have; that’s all I can do, and that all you can do!
I hope you enjoyed this week’s sales report. If a market that I’ve covered above is of interest to you, please check the links I’ve added where applicable. Unfortunately, I don’t currently have guides on every market I operate in, but I hope to release more content shortly.
If you have any questions or want to share your sales, please comment in the comment section below!
Today’s blog post reviews the gold-making sales for the fortnight ending 3rd May. The eagle-eyed readers amongst you will automatically notice a discrepancy in the dates. The discrepancy is because I’ve decided to include the data from 14th April to 3rd May in a bid to get back up to date on my fortnightly sales reports.
In addition, with the three accounts having 20 days left on their game time, I needed to act quickly to get the gold, guilds, and level 50 players transferred to other accounts and prevent the need to purchase 60 day game time.
These transfers took precedence over my gold-making, and the posting times that generally take two weeks to complete increased to more than three weeks. Today these transfers have been completed, and I can finally post today’s fortnightly sales review. Again, I apologize for the delays.
Purchased WoW Tokens:
The WoW Tokens purchased to complete these transfers are not included in the sales reports, as the TSM Ledger doesn’t track these purchases. So my outgoings for this fortnightly review are significantly higher than shown in the image below via the TSM Ledger. I thought I’d make that clear in a bid to offer complete transparency.
Fortnightly Review (14th April – 3rd May)
Although the dates shown are greater than two weeks, rest assured, these sales are based on one fortnightly reset as explained here.
I earned 4,446m in sales and spent 6,696m meaning I recorded a loss of 2,249m. As explained above, with characters transferring to new accounts, I invested heavily to help alleviate these WoW Token costs in the future. Simply put, by checking The Undermine Journal (TuJ) and comparing items between my current realm to my destination realm, and purchasing items that are profitable, I stand to make the cost of my WoW Tokens back at a later date!
I managed to sell 67 Medallion of the Legion for a total of 314k gold, and there was a massive spike in Nomi Snacks sold; I sold 185 for 211k gold. The sale(s) of the fortnight went to two items, the Hard Khorium Battlefists, which sold for 193k gold (a reminder of the gold you can make from crafting), and the recipe Enchant Gloves – Fishing for 172k gold.
For a comprehensive review of the items I sold, check out the next portion of this blog post titled My Sales.
Another poor showing with the Uncanny crafts. As pointed out in my previous fortnightly review, if sales didn’t improve, this may be a result of a competitor. Extremely likely that I may need to adjust my settings.
Recipes:
I made some decent Recipe sales, but it’s difficult to look past the Enchant Gloves – Fishing sale. 172k is an excellent return!
I didn’t do too well this fortnight, this could be a result of increased competition in this market. I will see if there’s any improvement in the next fortnightly sales report, before taking any action. However, three sales for 210k+ is a great return on investment!
This fortnight saw another impressive return on Battle Pet sales. This is a great market to be involved in. Battle Pets are extremely versatile, if they don’t sell on one realm, cage them and move them to another realm.
Selected Sales:
Some cracking sales this month. As mentioned already, Nomi Snacks did well, sold some more mounts, and there appears to be no letup on the Medallion of the Legion sales. Without a doubt, the sale of the Hard Khorium Battlefists for 193k was the highlight. A further reminder, not to neglect your professions, there’s gold to be made!
Conclusion:
It’s been a very busy fortnight, it took almost 3 weeks to complete my Auction House posting, and it’s great to see I still made a decent return. Yes, I made a loss, but I made some great investments, which means I will make a profit in the long run.
I love to continuously reinvest my gold, after all, there’s no point in it sitting there doing nothing, it’s not like it gains interest sitting in the bank! If you’re looking for ideas on where to invest your gold, look at my sales above, check The Undermine Journal and see what you can incorporate from my results and guides, and implement them into your own routines.
I can’t stress this enough; if you have more time than me, to post, cancel, and repost your auctions, you have a greater chance of being as successful as me. My limitations prevent me from posting more frequently, but this gives others the opportunity to make sales too. So do what I do, and make the most of your time in-game!

This fortnightly reset has been very busy on the gold-making front, hence the sales report’s slight delay. With the Darkmoon Faire, Outland Timewalking, and Noblegarden, there have been many opportunities to invest my gold in many different markets.
I created a post regarding the event, Noblegarden, and the brief collapse of the Swift Springstriders, which came to fruition on most of my realms. I purchased some mounts where the value dictated. Hopefully, you got in on the act too. Remember, you want to start posting these in a couple of weeks/months when the market stabilizes. The event introduced more mounts meaning the supply significantly outnumbered the demand, driving the mounts valuation down. The valuation will return to normal once the supply falls in line with the demand.
For clarification as to why I only post fortnightly, please check this article for further information.
TSM Ledger For 30th April to 13th March:
As expected, I’ve made a loss this fortnight due to purchasing cheap mounts and other bargains within other markets. I made 4,3m gold in sales, notably flipping, Exotic Leather, a Pattern: Shifting Cloak, 61x Medallion of the Legion, and a selection of mounts. I’ve added screenshots below outlining a selection of my sales, categorized where possible.
This fortnight proved to be another great result on the Island Expedition Transmog front. Investing in late BFA on the Stinkrot Smasher’s is proving to be rewarding. I was buying these for between 15-35k before the release of Shadowlands.
I remember in Legion when you couldn’t sell Cyno’s Mantle of Sin for love, nor money, and now they’re flying off the shelves – well, this fortnight anyway. Another good fortnight of Legion BoEs sales!
I won’t lie; I was disappointed in this fortnight sales return, and rightfully so. It’s hard to gauge why, but it could be the lure of other content; if it is the case, there should be an improvement next fortnight. If not, there could be competition undercutting me, preventing sales.
Recipes:
There was a standout sale this fortnight, the sale of the Pattern: Shifting Cloak for 300k. There were some more minor sales, showing that there’s still value in operating in this market.
If you saw my tweet on Twitter during the week, you’d have seen the mailbox I opened with a substantial amount of Replica Transmog sold on one realm. Believe it or not, but you can get many sales towards the end of the Darkmoon Faire as players check the Auction House for missing items to complete their set.
At the time of posting this article (15/04/21), I had 1,144 visitors this month, of which 172 visitors read my article on Replica Transmog. To explain the significance of this number and how popular this market has become, I had 2,873 visitors last month, of which only 10 visitors read my Replica Transmog article. As this market increases in popularity so will competition, looking for that sale, be sure to adjust your valuations accordingly.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen this many Battle Pet sales. Remember, these are just the best sales. The image(s) would have been too large had I added them all.
Selected Sales:
I managed to sell a considerable amount of Exotic Leather, Golden Lotus, and Spirit of Harmony. I took advantage of these materials when developers nerfed The Golden Stair farm in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. As players slowly move away from the content from the final patch of BFA, the amount of materials gathered from Pandaria slowly falls, and the demand increases, increasing their valuations. The sales above illustrate the rise in MoP raw materials demand and valuation.
If you’ve read this sales report today and some categories have sparked some interest, be sure to check out the links to be directed to my guides. I post auctions once a fortnight and don’t cancel or repost, so if I can make these sales over a fortnight, imagine what you can achieve if you have more time to post regularly or cancel and repost.
For more information as to why I only post once a fortnight, check this article.
If you have any questions, feel free to drop them below in the comment section. As ever, if you enjoyed this post or any other article I’ve created, please consider liking and sharing.
Today I bring you my gold-making sales report for the previous fortnight 15.03.21 – 29.03.21. It’s been another excellent fortnight of sales, and what’s more, you can do it too! I have some helpful guides and posts all linked below. I will be adding more in the comming weeks, so keep those eyes peeled!
I experienced a lot of issues during this reset, mainly regarding my internet service provider. There was an issue with the broadband and telephone line to the house from the exchange, meaning that I experienced high ping and low download and upload speeds.
The knock-on effect meant that although I was successfully posting auctions, albeit very slowly, I could not carry out as many shopping scans as I’d liked; this resulted in me having a positive profit margin this reset, compared to the previous fortnights reset.
TSM Ledger:
The summary of this fortnights sales can be seen below, thanks to the TSMLedger image below:
My Posting Routine:
I can only post once every two weeks to clarify why and what my posting routine consists of; check out My Posting Routine for more information.
Gold-Making Sales:
Below you can see my sales, categorized with helpful links to my guides/posts for those who are interested incorporating these markets into your posting routines. More guides will be comming!
When consolidating all the sales into one category, some parts look distorted; this is merely due to the different mailbox sizes and aspect ratios when cropping to one image. This scenario happens when I multi-box to empty mail on some characters, and when I take screenshots of my mailboxes obviously the aspect ratios will differ compared to those that use the default World of Warcraft applcation.
The best part of gold-making in World of Warcraft is when you access your mailbox, and you have a vast amount of gold to collect from the sales you’ve made. To increase the number of sales you can make, simply follow some of my suggestions below.
While it’s imperative to be the cheapest auction on the Auction House to guarantee sales, (i.e. cancel scanning and reposting) it also helps to have a wide range of auctions on the Auction House. I’m sure you’ve heard of Joe Bloggs; he solely operates in the Transmog market but he often complains that he doesn’t get many sales. However, I also work in the Transmog market, but I also complement it with other markets, Battle Pets, Raw Materials, Recipes, etc. Diversifying your auctions through different markets will help you engage with more potential customers, thus increasing your sales per reset. Operating within many markets will have its drawbacks, more significantly, the increased posting time needed to post all your auctions to the Auction House.
Here are my previous fortnightly reset sales for 28.02.21 – 14.03.21. Please check out my Posting Routine for a detailed explanation as to why I only post fortnightly.
The gold-making total for this fortnight was 4,9m gold, I sold 25083 items. I continued investing, where the market allowed me, and purchased 268593 items, spending 5,3m gold. This equates to a 384k gold loss. If you have the gold it’s important to continue investing and building your inventory. Remember what I explained above about diversity and operating in many different markets to maximise your sales – this is also a solid basis for trading outside of gold-making in World of Warcraft.
These stats were collected and calculated using the TSM Ledger.
