How to Turn Bronze into Gold, in Legion Remix!

Legion Remix - World of Warcraft

Turn Your Bronze into Gold: A Guide to Converting Bronze to Gold in Legion Remix:

If you’re like me, you might find yourself in the lead-up to Phase 3 of Legion Remix with all the Transmog, Toys, and Mounts available to you. Your Bronze is piling up, and you’re wondering what to do with the excess. This post is for you. Today, I’ll reveal how I’m converting my surplus Bronze into gold for retail World of Warcraft. The best part is, you can easily do it too! It’s a low-effort, high-reward strategy for maximizing your time in the Broken Isles.

Bronze in Legion Remix: Accumulation and Management:

Acquiring Bronze is incredibly easy, especially once you hit max level. Farming open-world mobs (via Heroic Tier), completing achievements, and clearing World Quests are all efficient methods.
Note: Dungeons and Raids are generally not efficient for raw Bronze farming.

Navigating the Bronze Cap:

Blizzard has set a Bronze cap of 2 million per character. To prevent losing valuable currency, you need a management strategy.
  • Use the Warbands Feature: The currency tab allows you to transfer excess Bronze to an alt character. This is the official way to bypass the character limit.
  • Don’t Lose Out: Any Bronze earned after you hit the 2 million cap will be lost, so make sure to transfer it regularly!

The Gold-Making Method: Companion Pets:

The secret lies in leveraging the Infinite Bazaar, buying Companion Pets to cage into Battle Pets. Once we have a sufficient inventory, we log into retail World of Warcraft and post the Battle Pets on the Auction House. Remember, this is a limited-time event. Once this event comes to an end, it will be difficult to acquire many of these Battle Pets.

What to Buy (And Where):

Head to the Infinite Bazaar and find the vendor Horos at coordinates [45, 68]. He sells a variety of Companion Pets. Here are a couple of points to consider when purchasing your Companion Pets.
  • Check the Tooltip: Pay close attention to item tooltips. Some items are flagged as being locked until a later phase and won’t be purchasable yet.
  • Focus on Pets: Our primary focus is the Companion Pets. These can be purchased, learned, and then caged into tradable Battle Pets for retail World of Warcraft.
  • Pets to Ignore: The Hateful Eye, Morsel, Son of Goredome, and Tidbit cannot be caged and sold on the Auction House!
  • Important: Items in your inventory will be deleted when you transfer from Legion Remix to a standard account. Caging the pet is essential for bypassing. The Warband Bank is also not accessible in Legion Remix, so you must use the caging method.

Maximizing Profit:

Not every pet offers the same value. Using resources like the Undermine Exchange is crucial for evaluating which Battle Pets return the best value. I strongly urge you to diversify and not concentrate on any one pet. By diversifying your purchases, you spread your risk and can profit from pets that others might overlook.

The Value of Leveling:

There is a huge disparity between the value of a Level 1 and a Level 25 Battle Pet on the Auction House. To ensure you get the best return on your investment, level your Battle Pet to 25.
How to Level Fast:

Data Analysis: Which Pets Offer the Best Return?

Below is a breakdown of the current data for EU realms (via the Undermine Exchange), including the average gold value (level 25 Battle Pet) and percentage of ownership, according to Wowhead. For ease of use, I’ve also added a column highlighting the gold (silver) per Bronze; this will offer a quick insight into which pet has the greatest value.
Battle Pet Bronze Cost Avg. Gold (EU) Gold per Bronze % Owned
Wyrmy Tunkins 10k 30k 3g 32%
Thistleleaf Adventurer 100k 65k 65s 16%
Nightmare Whelpling 80k 35k 43s 18%
Hungering Claw 10k 5k 50s 38%
Bronze Proto-Whelp 80k 30k 37s 28%
Ageless Bronze Drake 80k 20k 25s 32%
Eye of Inquisition 100k 20k 20s 32%
Orphaned Felbat 35k 5k 14s 29%
Firebat Pup 10k 10k 1g 76%
Corgnelius 10k 6k 60s 76%
Scraps 80k 5k 6s 54%
Data is subject to change based on market fluctuations.

Conclusion: Smart Investments

Correlating the data above, the Battle Pets that offer the best “gold per bronze” value are the Wyrmy Tunkins, Thistleleaf Adventurer, and the Nightmare Whelpling. These are your top picks for maximizing profit. If you wish to diversify your inventory, consider the Hungering Claw and the Bronze Proto-Whelp, too!

Pets to avoid for maximum profit?

The Firebat Pup and Corgnelius. While they have a decent gold value, they are owned by over 76% of players on Wowhead, meaning demand is likely very low and supply is high. Focus on the rarer pets for faster sales!

The Importance of Arbitrage!

Thanks to the Warbank, you can sell a Battle Pet on any realm you desire. For the best bang for your buck, and for the minimal amount of competition for that hard-fought sale, consider using the Undermine Exchange and find a realm to sell your Battle Pets on!

Minimal competition means you can dictate the price that suits you, while having an excellent chance of earning a sale. Otherwise, a realm with a lot of competition will likely mean undervaluing your Battle Pet at a risk of not achieving a sale at all.

MoP Remix – Lion’s Landing Bronze & Thread Farm:

I have a new exciting Bronze and Thread farm for Horde players that I accidentally stumbled upon while completing my dailies this morning. You must have completed the prerequisite quests for the Campaign: Landfall to reach this farming location; otherwise, the mobs will not phase correctly and will be unlootable.
