MoP Remix – How to earn the Reins of the Heavenly Golden Cloud Serpent
Today’s article delves into the exclusive mount: Reins of the Heavenly Golden Cloud Serpent. MoP Remix has opened up a treasure trove of collectibles that were once elusive during Mists of Pandaria. However, not all these treasures can be bought with the in-game currency, Bronze, and none are more exclusive than the Heavenly Golden Cloud Serpent.

The Heavenly Golden Cloud Serpent:
The Heavenly Golden Cloud Serpent shares the same appearance as the cloud serpent: Tsulong. Eagle-eyed readers will know that Tsulong has a different night-and-day visual appearance. Heavenly Golden Cloud Serpent shares Tsulong’s day version appearance.
Wowhead reveals that only a mere 26% of the player base has managed to earn the Heavenly Golden Cloud Serpent. This rarity underscores the mount’s exclusivity, perhaps due to a lack of awareness or a reluctance to invest time in farming Timeless Coins. Are you up for the challenge?
Where to find the Reins of the Heavenly Golden Cloud Serpent?
You can find this mount from within the Timeless Isle from the vendor: Mistweaver Ku, located beside the daily quest giver, Emperor Shaohao, at coordinates [42.54].
How much does the mount cost?
The mount may seem like a daunting investment at 100,000 Timeless Coins, but fear not. By implementing a smart strategy outlined in the next section, you can significantly boost your Timeless Coin earnings, making this mount a more attainable goal.
Collecting Timeless Coins:
Unbeknownst to many, the Timeless Isle offers a unique opportunity for group farming. With the recent Shaohao reputation increases, dailies, and defeating rares, there’s never been a better time to team up with others, especially in a 5-man group. Playing within a 5-man not only makes your time more efficient but also enhances the sense of community within the game. Together, we can achieve more!
Not only does this make your time more efficient, as you’ll be earning credit with the help of four other players, but you’ll also receive a buff for collecting Timeless Coins.
The buff: Spending Timelessness Together gives a 10% increase to Timeless Coin gains per player within your group, offering a potential 40% within a 5-player group. Ultimately, this method almost halves a single player’s time to earn 100,000 Timeless Coins.
Best places to farm?
There are several great farming locations on the Timeless Isle, from Emperor Shaohao mobs, Frog farm, Tiger farm, Neverending Spritewood, and farming rares. Below, I’ve added a brief description of each farm and the benefits it offers you and your party!
I’ve highlighted the areas on the map below.
Timeless Isle – Shaohao Rep Farm:
With a 700% increase in Shaohao’s reputation gains, it’s never been a better time to earn exalted status towards Emperor Shaohao. Plenty of players are farming, and finding a group should be easy. If you need help to group up, create one, and players will join you!
Firewalker Ruins:
There are three areas full of Shaohao mobs to farm. The first area is Firewalker Ruins. These mobs have the smallest rep return when defeating a mob, but there’s a lot in the area. There is also the chance for two rares to spawn, Watcher Osu and Jakur of Ordon.
The Blazing Way:
The second area is the pathway up through The Blazing Way. Mobs are scattered around (including Sprites), but you can find some densely placed in the ruins. These are trickier to defeat but offer an increase in rep returns than those from the first area. Keep your eyes peeled for the following rares.
Ordon Sanctuary:
The third area is in and around Ordon Sanctuary. These mobs are the hardest but also return the best rep return per mob defeated. Expect a lot of competition for mobs here! There are also three rares that spawn here that you should keep your eyes peeled for.
Timeless Isle – Frog Farm:
As we all know, the frog farm got a substantial nerf for Lesser Charm of Good Fortune, Threads, and Bronze. However, they still offer small amounts of Bronze and, with a decent group, can effectively farm the area as frogs spawn.
The rares, Golganarr and Bufo, spawn nearby; ensure you swiftly move as soon as they spawn.
Timeless Isle – Tiger Farm:
The tiger farm will need you and your group to be mobile, as the packs are scattered around the map. There’s merit in separating your team, each having their spot, and swapping before the loot expires. I don’t think this is a hyper-spawn, but mobs should start respawning when you’ve all swapped and looted.
Be aware of the following rares in your area.
Timeless Isle – Neverending Spritewood:
At the following coordinates [47.90], [44.93], and [46.71], you can find a purple shard with which you can interact. Successfully interacting with the shard will enable you to attack Scary and Nice Sprites. You have 1 minute to eliminate as many Sprites as possible.
You can only complete this once per day. If the shard is unavailable, it means someone has recently completed it. There’s a 15-minute respawn!
Timeless Isle Rares:
Throughout the island, there are plenty of rares at your disposal. However, these are difficult to reach depending on when they spawn. With the Tuft of Yak Fur changes (no longer unique), you could quickly move as a group once a rare spawns. There’s up to a 59-second countdown from when the rare spawns until players can attack it. There’s also merit in using Meteor Chip (or Falling Flame from Cinderfall) to quickly access Ordon Sanctuary from The Celestial Court. Aim for one of the tall pillars to prevent you from flying past!
Ensure you have the add-on: SilverDragon. This add-on will mark on the map the location of all the rares on the Timeless Isle.
Conclusion:
This article snowballed, but I wanted to be as thorough as possible. Many will overlook this mount, as it’s from something other than the regular MoP Remix vendors, meaning players will miss it.
Players on Dragonflight can still obtain the mount, but MoP Remix gives players extra incentive to play on the Timeless Isle, meaning you have a greater chance of grouping up with others, therefore reducing the time it takes to earn the 100,000 Timeless Coins required for the Heavenly Golden Cloud Serpent.
