The Warcraft Devs Listened!

Good afternoon guys, I was going to post this blog yesterday, but a number of things popped up that meant this post was slightly delayed, but have no fear, it comes with some epic news…

You Think You Do… And We Do Too!

As you’ve probably noticed already via Twitter, or in-game, the Warcraft Devs have listened to the pleas from the World of Warcraft community and have extended the ‘Winds of Wisdom‘ Buff. The buff will now be extended until the release of the Shadowlands pre-patch. You’d have read in my previous blog post, that Towelliee had hinted that the Devs may extend it if the COVID lockdown was extended, and given the friends he knows within Blizzard, I felt he maybe knew a little more than he was letting on.

Experience is Key, but so is Reputation…

Not only that, but the Devs also added another buff called, ‘Impressive Influence‘ until 18th May. As you’ll know, the ‘Winds of Wisdom‘ buff offers an experience gain of 100%, with the ‘Impressive Influence‘ buff, we also benefit from a reputation gain with factions within Legion and Battle for Azeroth expansion. Please be aware, that the Devs have excluded the Rajani and the Uldum Accord from the buff.

Below is an image from Wowhead outlining all the factions available for the buff.

I have been somewhat slack on the Rustbolt Resistance reputation, so this is great news for me. Mechagon had just been released prior to my IRL issues, so I missed a great deal of the new content and found myself considerably behind the curve (so to speak) once I returned. This will help me push for the Revered essences, although the materials may be a pain to gather.

The new reputation buff will be of great interest to players still seeking their mounts from the paragon chests within Legion. I still have a ton to collect, so when I’ve finally caught up with the Rustbolt Resistance, I’ll be heading over to complete the Legion World Quests

In Before The Crash…

Before I dash, I just wanted to add, that the Gold Making has been incredible the last couple of days. I’m unsure whether it was a result of the weekend (increased amount of players), or maybe people panicked to get their last 120’s over the line, in preperation for the XP buff which should’ve finished today. Thankfully, this news today, means this resurgence to the economy, will continue. However, I feel with more people getting involved in the markets, prices will sadly crash. This is evident with the Uncanny Gear, down to around the 800g1500g mark. Only a few weeks ago, those pieces of gear were bouncing out of the Auction House around the 10k15k mark. Best to make the most of it, before it all crashes…

Anyway, I’m off to Mechagon, until next time…

My First Month Back…

One Month And Counting

Well, today marks one month since my long-awaited return to World of Warcraft and what a ride it’s been… The timing of my return coupled with Blizzards 100% leveling boost and the Governments advice for the general public to stay home due to the coronavirus lockdown, made gold-making extremely profitable this month. Towelliee, mentioned in the build-up to his Shadowlands Alpha stream that “if the lockdown is prolonged further, there may be an extension to the boost!” I doubt it will happen, but you never know with the lack of content from here to the release of Shadowlands.

Getting Started

As mentioned in a previous blog post my inventory and gold took a hit, due to expired mail expiring and thus getting deleted, so with 5000 gold to my name on a new realm and an abundance of new materials at my disposal, my first port of call was collecting a lot of Marks of Honor through weekly PvP and Battlegrounds; so I could purchase the new recipes for the Uncanny gear. In the beginning, I concentrated on 3 professions, Blacksmithing, Leatherworking, and Tailoring, but with Guilded Silkweave extremely expensive on my realm, Tailoring ended up being ditched to one-side so I replaced it with Inscription.

Blacksmithing and Leatherworking were no brainers, Plate gear and an armory of weapons and Leatherworking gave me Leather and Mail items, not forgetting the Bow too… these 2 professions alone, gave me an extremely vast amount of gear. Inscription gave me the chance to craft the Compendium trinkets which have been very profitable at the beginning, however, Zin’anthid is slowly increasing in value cutting into my profits. If time is on my side, I may look to farm it myself.

What’s Been Rolling Off The Shelves…

With regard to the leveling boost mentioned at the beginning, the main sales I’ve made are with regard to leveling. Enchants for heirlooms (and end-game gear), Gems for Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm Timewalking, Deep Sea Satin bags and without a doubt the biggest income, coming from Uncanny gear; mainly the weapons.

With Pandaria material’s extremely cheap on my realm (thanks to Uldum and Vale of Eternal Blossom’s assaults), I found it a good opportunity to flip them at certain times of the week. With professions to fall back on, I could easily make use of the materials with Pandaria transmog, so the risk was very low.

Here’s a couple of mailbox screenshots full of gold from this month, notice that Recipes, Battle Pets, and poor items still sell… That Papi sale was a 100k flip too! There’s a lot more sales, but there are just some of the highlights of the month.

Conclusion

With the leveling boost potentially coming to an end on the 20th April, it’s fair to say that there will be a huge drop in uncanny sales, so I will be branching off back into other markets and starting up a couple of my alt realms which I sadly mistreated since my break from the game. I want to get back into Battle Pets again too, but with a lot of them lost in the mail, I think it’s fair to say a vast chunk of my investment, will be in Battle Pets in the coming days.

Below I’ve added my graph from my TSM4 dashboard. Please bear in mind, this is solely for this realm and character only. I’ve also edited out my name and realm because I know you guys like to find me (wink wink).

I reached 43k on my first day back (March 17th) and currently sitting on 1,146,661 gold

The goal so far was to reinvest my gold immediately into materials for crafting and potential flips, hence why you can see fluctuations midway through the month and a dramatic increase towards the end of the month.

Before I Go…

If you want to drop me a line, feel free to send me a DM on Twitter or my Facebook page. I do not leave my comments open on my blog, purely because of the minority of people on WordPress, that feel it’s appropriate to advertise or post malicious content there. I’m unable to monitor the comments, so it’s best that it stays closed.

I prefer DM’s on Twitter as there’s no limit to the words I can use. This helps keep everything together neatly if you require some advice from me. I’ll get back to you on either platform as soon as I possibly can, so bear with me.

Wow-Pets is now back up and detailing prices for level 1 and 25 battle pets, which is awesome. If you’re like my self and use the site to base your average prices for your pets, be sure to leave it a couple of days/weeks. This will help base a better average, as the data before the site went down has been lost, so prices will be very volatile.

Lastly, thank you for dropping on by!

Winds of Wisdom

So, I was just posting some auctions and to my surprise, in the top right-hand corner, was a new buff applied, called Winds of Wisdom. I was immediately taken back by this, so I immediately checked what was going on. It’s a buff which does the following; Experience gain increased by 100% (confirmation below) and will be effective between 20th March to 20th April!

winds of wisdom buff

Blizzard obviously aware of the current situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) and the need for everyone to start self-isolating has undoubtedly given players of World of Warcraft a little incentive to abide by the current restrictions and alleviate a lot of the free time, by offering this buff. Thankfully at the time of this blog post, there are no restrictions with this buff. I wore full heirlooms + Warmode and the 100% Experience buff and completed a Legion Assault – which may I add is an insane experience gain! I got almost three levels in the space of one assault, please bear in mind I was gathering as well! I haven’t completed a BFA Faction Assault yet as there wasn’t one available, but I’d guess the experience gain from this is also incredible. In fact, @Warcraft on Twitter has just confirmed it!

With the weekend finally upon us, I was eager to get some auctions posted, but this new development has put a hold on that. Due to my previous issues IRL I was unable to fully appreciate the insane experience gains from the recent Alterac Valley battleground event. Given this new buff has no restrictions and can be used in every aspect of gaining experience, I’d think it’s fair to say this could be the best experience buff anyone’s experienced to date.

Now what will be interesting, is when The Darkmoon Faire visits with the carousel buff  WHEE! , or interestingly, experience potions ( Elixir of the Rapid Mind &  Excess Potion of Accelerated Learning) If these all stack too, then OMG!

Wowhead has recently published a great article, that I’d urge you to read. It has guides on class leveling with everything you need to know, check it out HERE.

To put how crazy this is into perspective, as of yesterday afternoon the EU WoWToken was at 194,195g as of this morning at 07:15 the token is sitting at 231,571g!

Anyway, I’d love to stay and chat further, but I’m going to do some leveling… I hope you’re taking part too.

Cya in Azeroth!

TSM4 Battle Pet Import String 8.0.1

Hello guys, so I’ve managed to spare a couple of hours and finally get round to updating my TSM 4 Battle Pet groups. These groups include all the recently added battle pets for Battle for Azeroth (BFA) 8.0.1. I hope to have a future update, if there’s anymore pets released in 8.1

Battle Pets Import String for 8.0.1

Please bear in mind, these groups have no operations included and may not work with TSM 3; this is to limit any future issues that may occur. The operations can easily be created by yourself with some excellent information from The Undermine Journal & WoW Pets. These sites will have guides on the average prices the pets are posted at, on any given realm you select.

I’d also like to add, that these groups won’t be of interest to everybody. These groups are designed to offer as much information as possible to hand, when accessing your tooltips for promptly buying and selling on the Auction House. The groups will use a vast amount of in-game memory due to the size of the groups. Below I’ve added an image of the what the layout looks like within TSM 4.

tsm battle pet image for blog

You will also notice in the image above, that each Battle Pet is separated into alphabetical order and where possible, further separated by their level, rare and uncommon status. This is to give each pet their appropriate operation easily, as each pet has their own price.

What this image won’t show above, is that the whole Battle Pet import string is separated in to 4 groups, (A-F, G-M, N-T, & U-Z) this is purely because of the size of the import string, and to import it as a whole, would make the game lock-up and the import fail. Below I’ve added a detailed rundown on how to successfully import these strings. Please follow them to prevent any issues.

How to import my Battle Pet string.

1) Go in to your addons in-game and deactivate all of them apart from TSM4. (This prevents any conflicts during importing) then /reloadui in the chat box to save your work. You can reactivate your addons, once everything is complete!

2) Open TSM4 and backup your existing profile, go to: Settings > General Settings select your profile and select duplicate then name your duplicated profile Backup Do a /reloadui to correctly save your work.

3) Now head to my Pastebin; below are the links to each of the Battle Pet import strings you’ll need.

[TSM4] Battle Pet Import String (A-F) No Operations 13.10.18
[TSM4] Battle Pet Import String (G-M) No Operations 13.10.18
[TSM4] Battle Pet Import String (N-T) No Operations 13.10.18
[TSM4] Battle Pet Import String (U-Z) No Operations 13.10.18

Make sure you only import one string at a time! Once you’ve imported one string /reloadui to save your work, then proceed to importing the next one! If you notice your game is non-responsive after importing a string and you’ve correctly /reloadui previously, then let the game crash to log-in screen. This is normal! This happens when a lot of information is imported in to the game in one instance. DO NOT go into Task Manager and End Task as this will not let the game save all the data you imported. When you log back in, you’ll see that the groups actually imported successfully!

*However, if you did forget to /reloadui previously, then your only option is the Task Manager and End Task! Your game will lock-up, if too many large imports are made in one go! This is why you’re urged to /reloadui between each task!*

Once these directions have been followed, you should have a complete Battle Pet Group including all the pets introduced in 8.0.1 at your disposal. Now you can reactivate your addons!

**Whilst every effort was taken to correctly create these groups, you MIGHT come across a mistake. Be sure to drop me a line either on my Blog (please be aware comments need to be moderated before being published) or for a prompt response, use my Twitter handle and I’d be happy to get back to you at the earliest convenience.**

Influx of Darkmoon Faire Quest Items

Hello guys, long time no see.

I just wanted to create a quick post today regarding a previous blog post The Darkmoon Faire Revisited. Basically because of the recent influx of Darkmoon Faire Quest Items due to the increased content brought to us by Battle for Azeroth or soon, Shadowlands.

Due to the increased content, PvP, Dungeons, Questing and the impending pre-patch and, a lot of returning players, it’s never been easier to obtain the quest items. If you have your  Darkmoon Adventurer’s Guide in your inventory, you have a chance to loot a Darkmoon Quest item. Because of this, the Auction House is flooded with items, which has dramatically decreased the value for these items.

High competition + increased supply = market crash

So please ignore the previous prices I was advising. I will edit those prices in that blog post immediately but wanted to clarify here first, why the need to change them. If you did follow those prices, then don’t be disheartened, as you can still turn those in and make gold from other markets.

You can buy up Darkmoon Faire Quest Items from the Auction House for approximately 100g-500g each (dependant of your realm’s economy) although this is lower than initially outlined, there’s still plenty of profit to be made! Buying up quest items, turn in, and buy Replica gear is still the best method. I’m selling gear at around the 40-75k mark EACH on many of my realms. There are even players barking in trade chat, selling full sets for crazy amounts of gold!

When you consider it costs me on average 1k-2.5k to buy all the Darkmoon Faire Quest Items you can easily turn all these into huge profits! This is hugely beneficial to do on ALTS too!

Please bear in mind, that SOME quest items do have level requirements to hand in successfully and you must be level 60 to purchase Replica Transmog.

So although the buying/flipping market for Darkmoon Faire Quest Items may be ruined (at the moment), there’s still plenty of room in other markets. Check out your realms economy/market via TheUndermineJournal and see if there’s value for you too!

Just a couple of Replica Transmog sales since the release of Battle for Azeroth, to offer you some confidence in this market! You can also enter #Replica #Transmog within the search bar on Twitter to see some of my sales, I’ve shared prior to the release of Battle for Azeroth!

Darkmoon Trinket Buff! 20/08/18

Just in case you’ve missed it, there’s been a recent hotfix to Darkmoon trinkets, increasing their stats. This will make some of these, POSSIBLY BiS before raid content arrives. Now you probably won’t think too much of this, but consider the people who cashed in on all this, last night, when this was first revealed!

There were Darkmoon Deck: Squalls selling at 38k on my realm, Darkmoon Deck: blockades at 64.9k, now they’ve shot up to 150k+ and raising! Some will probably settle around that area, but this all depends on the competition on your realm. I’ve bought some this afternoon at approximately 70k and reselling at 199k. I may have missed out on the big boom when the expansion released, due to levelling, but this is a decent little earner in the meantime.

So if you have some gold handy, check your auction houses and see if there’s some value for you. I’ve bought up a ton this morning/afternoon, so there’s still bargains to be had! As ever, be vigilant and to make the most out of your profit, use trade chat to bark what you’re selling, eliminates that AH fee 😉

Always check out trusted sites like The Undermine Journal which you can keep track on the realm/region prices etc for any given item on any given realm. Some prices may still have yesterdays data, so won’t come in to effect, so take that in mind.

Here’s a screenshot of the hotfix.

TSM4 Is Finally Here…

The long wait for the full release of TSM4 is finally over; but sadly, with a few unexpected hiccups! I didn’t manage to login for a couple of days prior to the release on the 28th July, thus meaning I couldn’t back up my TSM3 data prior to upgrading. Well, my TSMApp didn’t show a backup, since the 26th, when I last played. Typically, the second I logged in to Warcraft on the 29th, TSMApp auto updated to TSM4 (all thanks to being a premium member) and didn’t get the opportunity to backup. This left me with no other alternative, but to seek one of my previous backups. Sadly this was destined to end in misery, as my only backup prior to the 28th, was the backup from the 26th July, and it gave me errors on all 5 accounts upon logging in.

I didn’t have any other addons loaded, so knew it wasn’t conflicting with other addons… so I was left with the dreaded scenario of either patiently waiting for a fix, or taking the plunge and deleting all my TSM data within my WTF file and re-importing everything from scratch. I took the plunge and as quick as you could say shazzam, it was all gone!

Now if there’s anything noticeable, about importing via TSM4 compared to TSM3, is the quick and effectiveness of making groups and changing them around, however… the downside is without doubt, the inability to actually import groups quickly, especially, large groups of information. Now bear in mind, the groups I have saved within my Pastebin, are created, imported and exported through TSM3, but with TSM4, it struggles to import the same amount of data, and as a result, experience huge lag spikes and occasional crashes. It was that bad, I even had to minimise my Battle Pet strings, from 2 groups into 4 groups, and it still lagged out and crashed!

Thankfully, when it comes to importing, I’m almost a seasoned pro *intended sarcasm* due to the amount of times, I’ve had to reset and re-import my profiles. After almost a day, slaving over my 5 accounts and importing all my saved data from my Pastebin, I can finally log in, with no errors and open my mail and post auctions again… for how long? who knows! At this moment in time, I’m experiencing no errors, apart from the odd moment when the game hangs up, when I transfer from one profession to another, but nothing a simple /reloadui macro can’t sort out.

My fresh looking TSM4 all updated and running smoothly… finally!

*Disclaimer – This TSM profile was originally created by Sheyrah! Please click HERE if you wish to use her original profile!*

I’ve seen others experiencing a lot of issues too within the woweconomy subreddit, so I know this isn’t an isolated issue. If you’re experiencing issues too, I’d recommend waiting on a potential fix, or seek help from TSM’s Discord channel. I used TSM’s error report function in-game, but sadly I didn’t have the time to wait for a potential fix, but do hope my reports help developer create a fix that might help you guys out!

Although all this has been time-consuming, time, which I would’ve spent elsewhere, I’m grateful that I can play again, without the issues. It’s been a massive undertaking from the TSM developers to bring us TSM4, they’ve tried their utmost to bring us this without any issues, but sadly it didn’t go to plan; but I’m sure given time, they will have this working 100% in no time at all. I’m sure It’ll prove to be a massive improvement from the trusted TSM3 addon too. Hell, if I was honest deep down, I would expect there to be issues, especially during a time, where so many other addons are getting updated too, all in preparation for the release of Battle for Azeroth. So it wouldn’t surprise me if most of the issues others are experiencing COULD be due to conflicting addons.

Anyway, here’s to the release of TSM4 keep up the great work guys and no doubt better times ahead! Keep the faith everyone!

Saying A Heartfelt Goodbye to Legion BoEs

As the dust settles on Legion, and the stuttering emergence of pre-patch/Battle for Azeroth awaits us… what better time than today, to look back at some of the great markets we had the pleasure of dabbling in to. Most of my successful markets came in the way of Legion BoEs, Battle Pets, The Darkmoon Faire, crafting Old World crafts etc. But today, I’ll discuss in detail, what I managed to achieve in the Legion BoEs market!

7.0 – The Begining of Something Special
It was September 1st (my second night into Legion) completing quests for the achievement  Azsuna Matata in Azsuna (nearby the dungeon entrance to Eye of Azshara) trying to complete the bonus objective. I’m about a quarter of the way into completion, and BOOM! I get a shiny notification that I’ve looted something of importance. At first glance, it was an ilvl 850 [Fran’s intractable Loop] which I first thought was awesome for my 110 Hunter! But upon closer inspection, it dawned on me that it was actually a 101 Legion BoE. I knew at this point, this was something special! Instead of equipping it, I posted it on the Auction House for 500k (a little feeler, as I didn’t really know it’s true value). It’s important to add at this point, there were no other items on the Auction House to compare it to, so just went with what I assumed was an obscene price. Little did I know, that the next day upon logging in, I’d have a successful sale for the ring.

I’ll be honest, the next few days I was a little sceptical, that this was merely a one-off, and someone purchased it purely to power level to 110. But I was wrong! Thankfully I googled a random Legion BoE and came across a topic within xpoff (topic no longer available) regarding how players were creating 101 twinks, because the stats on Legion BoEs were over-tuned for level 101’s and the level scaling meant, people could kill mobs at their level very easy. Now I knew why there was a huge demand!

I started periodically checking the Auction House on all my realms and before I knew it I’m starting to see a lot more Legion BoEs on the AH, (mainly ilvl 835 (<15k), ilvl 840 (<25k) and ilvl 845 (<35k)). At first, I bought the cheaper ones and undercut the highest and most of them sold, and before I knew it, the prices were creeping up and the sales were rolling in. At this point, I was quickly realising this was a really good market! Once things settled down, I set my prices at 835 (35k) 840 (50k) 845 (65k) as outlined in this blog I had a large inventory of Legion BoEs at my disposal. On nearly all the realms I operated on, I was controlling the Legion BoEs market (well… until Aada got involved on Dalaran LOL) Little did Aada know, I was actually buying up his cheap BoEs and flipping them, but… I’m sure Aada was still happy with his profit!

Sharing is Caring 1.0
I was very fortunate, to spend some quality time within Peelyon’s (Pete) Twitch streams during 7.0, and Pete and some of his viewers were seeing a lot of my Tweets regarding my Legion BoEs sales. At first I was a little apprehensive on how much information I should be sharing, but to be fair, the more people knew about it, the better. The idea was, the more interest people got in to twinking or flipping, the higher the prices could go. It was impossible (as much as I tried) to control all the prices on my own, plus I didn’t have the capital.

You know when things are good, when you need to change you Twitch handle so people believe who you are, Grarand wasn’t cutting it with the masses! LOL

7.1 The Legion BoE Dilema
7.1 brought new content to Legion, with new content – new gear and higher item levels. At the time of posting this Blog I was unsure how the lower BoEs would be effected by the new higher ilvl’s etc. Later into the patch it proved to make no difference. The lower ilvl’s continued to sell to those with limited gold balances, but there was an obscene market for the higher ilvls. If I felt 500k for a BoE was crazy, well that was nothing compared to some of the ilvl items I was selling for 800k-1m+

With more items added to the game, there was need for a more detailed group settings for TSM to help buy and sell. Below is an image of what my TSM group looked like.

tsm group pic of legionboes

Not only were these separated by ilvl and territory stats, they also had individual shopping and posting operations, to help easily purchase and post on the Auction House. This made it very simple to know if an item was profitable, by just reading my tool-tips. I imported each item, individually using the same method as importing Battle Pets to a group. This method was later made easier, when Muffins, created his GitHub midway through the expansion, full of item ID’s (including one’s I’d never seen on the auction house before). This method also made it a lot more accessible to more people increasing the competition in the market.

Twinking
Surprised to say, I made 4 Twinks (a frost DK and 3 Balanced Druids) and at no point during Legion, did I sell boosts. This was probably one of the things I’d like to have done, had the time been available. Level boosting 4 people 98-110 through Dungeons with a Twink was without doubt, one of the best gold making tricks out there. As you’ll see below with Umrentv, if you had a 101 twink with a lot of Leech items, it was an absolute animal. It could cost you millions to deck it out, but with the lure of charging 10k per level per person minum for boosting, it didn’t take too long to make that gold back! The only method that came close to this, was Invasions, and they were on a timer. Get boosted and sit at the entrance whilst someone clears it for you. Sadly 7.3.5 made a mockery of this and XP was reduced, meaning more runs had to be completed… damn Blizzard never lets us have fun! LOL

Sharing is Caring 2.0
Little does UmrenTV know, but I was the Goblin (DkFrostie-Stormscale), that was kind enough to trade him the ilvl 870 [Marfisi’s Giant Censer] + Leech for 250k (which was well below its value) on his stream, that he was desperate for. He also had little to no gold on that realm at the time, as he was doing a twink boosting challenge, so I offered to send it to him, and had him pay me at a later date! I knew he wasn’t looking to profit from this by re-posting it, as he was trying to create a 101 twink frost DK. My only concern was, if Blizzard reprimanded us, when he sent the 250k at a later date, as some gold transfers can flag accounts for cheating, as I know firsthand.

So if you were one of his viewers that day, when he was streaming, now you know that was me.

7.3.5 – It Was Good Whilst It Lasted!
In 7.3 this market started to tail off somewhat, mainly due to the insecurity of how the gear would be affected in 8.0 and more importantly, more people multi-box farming the items, thus bringing the supply greater than the demand. This bought lower prices and a drop in sales. With TSM unable to correctly account all the different ilvl’s and a lot of server transfers (loss of data) etc… it’s impossible to gauge how much I’ve made in total. I hit the 100m gold mark back in mid 2017 and a lot of that was due to this market.

It’s also worth noting, that thanks to this market, I was also able to purchase 4 accounts, upgrade them to BFA for multi-boxing and also have subscriptions paid till next February 2019 on all 5 accounts, countless Guild/character transfers and 85m liquid gold for my efforts. This number would be far greater had I sold the 300+ items unsold prior to the release of 8.0

8.0 Battle For Azeroth
Sadly, since 8.0 released this market is no longer worthwhile. The stat squish has affected the huge stat benefits, these pieces gave. I currently have about 300 (minimum) unsold items on all 5 of my accounts, but I plan to try to sell these some time in the future, on the basis of Transmog, but I won’t get anywhere near the prices these once demanded. I’m not at all upset with my remaining stock, as these were purchased using profit from previous sales and it was a risk I was aware of.

You’ll also notice, that some of these items since the squish, do have an ilvl 200+ (mainly titanforged gear) that MIGHT be worthwhile to someone, gearing up. However, most of the Legion BoEs were given ilvl’s around the <160-180.

If you want to check out some of my Legion BoEs sales, then be sure to check out Twitter and add #LegionBoEs in the search bar. There’s too many to add here, far more easier to check that hashtag out instead.

Thanks for reading! What were your successes in the Legion BoEs market if you got involved and what was your record sale. Feel free to comment below! Sadly comments need to be approved, due to spam etc, but please don’t be put off by posting, I will approve them!

Family Guy’s adaptation of Leeroy Jenkins; Veteran Guy…

You may have been fortunate to have caught Family Guy‘s latest episode Veteran Guy (season 16 episode. 14), with a small adaptation of World of Warcraft‘s legendary clip; Leeroy Jenkins. if not… check out the video below.

Episode Summary: After Peter and the guys get caught pretending to be military veterans and are found guilty of the Stolen Valor Act, a judge sentences them to join the U.S. Coast Guard.

I personally enjoyed it. I would love them to do a full episode based off the game. I’m sure they wouldn’t be short of ideas. How about you, would you like to see something more?

The End of an Eventful Week…

Good evening readers… it’s been a very eventful week in World of Warcraft, to say the very least and I’m very thankful it’s well and truly over and we start afresh today – reset day! I had my wow#4 account permanently banned, I also purchased Battle for Azeroth on my remaining 4 accounts and increased my subscriptions on all of my accounts to 1 year thanks to a great tip-off from @RethRethReth on Twitter (Detailed info below).

Account Permanently Banned
If you’ve been reading my tweets on Twitter, you’d have read that I suffered a bit of a scare with respect to my wow#4 account on Wednesday 14th March. I noticed I couldn’t access my wow#4 account, so I logged into my Blizzard account and to my amazement, it had been permanently banned. This account was opened a couple of Months ago, thanks to Blizzards Black Friday promotion. I knew I hadn’t done anything wrong, as I always adhere to Blizzards Terms of Service, so I immediately got in touch with them and thankfully within a couple of hours, I was informed my account was flagged for suspicious activity regarding my gold balance.

I explained to them in depth, that this was simply earned via the Auction House and their logs would show this. I was informed it would take approximately 24 hours for them to look in to this via their security team and they’ll get back to me at the earliest opportunity. To be honest, I don’t play daily, so this didn’t have a huge effect on me, however, the thought of losing account unfairly was quite worrying.

The following day, I got an email confirming it was indeed a false flag. They explained the fact the account had acquired a substantial amount of gold (20m gold to be exact) in the short time the account had been created, caused the account to be flagged for suspicious activity. They reinstated my account immediately and they apologised. I told them not to apologise, as i believe it’s an important system to prevent cheating and fraudulent activity.

Thanks to Vahdis on Twitter he mentioned that Activison will be making Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 accessible from Battle.net soon, thus suggesting, it MAYBE PURCHASABLE via wowtokens in the future. There has already been a spike to the price of wowtokens on the Auction House and this could rise further with the release of this news. Source: Eurogamer

With that said above, I decided to upgrade my 4 remaining accounts to Battle for Azeroth and also increase my game-time from 6 Months to 1 year on all accounts. The good thing about this is, I’m taking advantage of a possible spike in wowtokens and also reducing my current Gold balance, which may prevent a future flag on my account. Hell, I don’t wish to go through another flag on my account LOL

Current Balance
With the above taken into consideration, my total balance across all five accounts as of 16.03.18 is… 85.3m.

TCG Battle Pets
I’ve noticed the prices of TCG Battle Pets increasing every week thanks to wow-pets.com and to no surprise, the highest value pet is the Spectral Tiger Cub at almost 800K on EU. so I’ve decided to start caging all of them and storing them in a Guild Bank on an alt. I’m also buying up any I deem reasonable, to make a sufficient flip. I’m not 100% sure when, but I’m likely to keep hold of them until Battle for Azeroth drops, exactly how I did in the build up to Legion then start posting when players return.

If any of you look into buying up any cheap TCG Battle Pets too, be sure to purchase via the Auction House. Many accounts get hacked and people sell off cheap TCG pets in trade chat as they’re very desirable to many people, especially if they’re ridiculously cheap! These can and will be removed via a GM and no gold refunded if they’re proven to be obtained fraudulently. So I urge you to use the Auction House as its the safest way, as all purchases are tracked and safe.

Here’s a screenshot of my current collection, proudly shown off by my alt, Battersea.

Things at home are slowly getting a little easier now, maybe the transitional period coming to a close, and a smoother road ahead… who knows. We’ve seen a massive improvement already with our children’s education, but what’s been more reassuring, is the improvements with our daughters diabetes. Her readings are so much better and she’s finally adapting to it really well. No more missed lunches at school, no more worrying about her getting her insulin taken at school, it’s all done with us!

It’s been without doubt the best decision we’ve made homeschooling our children. It may not be the answer to everyone’s problems, but it certainly has been for us and it’s paying off!

If you’re not sure what I’m referring to, please read my previous blog post Why I’ve Been Inactive in Warcraft.

That’s all from me tonight, just a little update…lol! I hope you’re all well and be sure to say hi on Twitter (or here) if you pass me by…
