Week One Sales & Catch Up!

Good evening guys and welcome to my weekly blog; looking back at my sales for the week ending (30.10.17). I hope you enjoy this, and maybe find some ideas for alternative markets to get involved in.

It’s been another great week as a crafty Goblin, managing to hit gold cap again on another alt realm. Sadly… the lack of a Guild bank, meant I spent 2.9m on 10 wowtokens (290k each), so I could loot the remaining gold from my mailbox. These tokens have raised my Blizzard balance back up to cap (£200). I have future plans to transfer some alts to pastures new, so the balance will go to good use.

Here’s a summary of the liquid gold I currently own on my 3 accounts. The 2.9m for tokens has already been subtracted from the total. (Addons used: Altoholic, TSM3)

The grand total is 78.56m, this is an increase of 2m (5m if you include the 2.9m above) since the 16th October, from my last review on Twitter. Below is a collection of my sales from many of the realms I operate on. I hope this format is easier on the eyes, than my previous posts on Twitter. I’d happily agree that 15-20 posts in one day, condensed to one blog post is definitely easier on my eyes!

As you can see, my main markets are Legion BoEs and Battle Pets. These are easy markets to get involved in for me. The BoEs are currently in high demand, due to level 101 twinks and Battle Pets offer great versatility, basically because of the ease of transferring them to low populated servers for insane profits.

Please do remember that I play on E.U and Battle Pet prices are far greater in value, than those on U.S. realms.

I also dabble in Transmog and Profession crafts too, but the inability to run cancel scans regular, mean my sales are very low. These can be very profitable markets if you have the time and patience to cancel and re-post often; thus meaning your auctions are always at the top. Take advantage of raid days too, this is when I try and log in on my main and take advantage of those raiders looking for consumables etc.

If you know me well, you know I don’t farm anything anymore, well…  you could suggest I farm the Auction House LOL!! Whatever I sell, you can bet your bottom dollar that it originated from the Auction House. I buy at a maximum of 50% it’s value and aim to sell at a min 105% it’s value. This is just a rule of thumb, so it makes it easier to track my profit. TSM3 accounting is unable to track individual ilvls and different stats on items for Legion BoEs, so this is the quickest alternative for me. I used to have a bog standard spreadsheet covering purchases and sales, but it got too time consuming!

Here’s some highlighted sales, in no particular order:

Eyasu’s Mulligan – 237k
Treia’s Handcrafted Shroud – 237k
Sash of the Unredeemed – 336k
Cyno’s Mantle of Sin – 356k
Talisman of Jaimil Lightheart – 242k
Geta of Tay’Shute – 356k

Some excellent flips, if you follow the rule of thumb explained above.

Before I finish, may I take this opportunity to remind you of the awesome news recently revealed, that TSM4 is on the horizon! If you’ve not used TSM up to this point, don’t threat, there’s no time like the present! Check out this great article on TSM4 HERE and see how you can get early access in late November. Gumdrops, who is a familiar face on woweconomy, is also part of the TSM team. He also streams on Twitch and offers many Q&A TSM streams, so if you’re looking for advice, check him out – he’s an awesome gold-maker too!

Until next week, thanks for reading…

Battle Pet Import String for Legion 7.3 (Complete)

(23.03.21) This post is now outdated, Please check out my TSM Import List for an up-to-date version.

I’ve decided to remove all the previous outdated Battle Pet strings as this may lead to confusion and may conflict with future versions. As of today (05.10.17) this import string is complete, including level 1 and level 25 for every trade-able battle pet.

Like previous versions, I’ve split the string into two groups, as the complete group is far too large to import in to one import. The two groups are A-M and N-Z. These strings DO NOT include price strings, this is to prevent any potential issues. I also wouldn’t advise using price strings from someone else, as economies differ on different realms. My price strings are set to different realms and not based on an average like in the past. This is because wow-pets.com is no longer being updated.

Directions for use:
One: Backup your TSM3
Two: Create a group in TSM addon called Battle Pets
Three: Select the import/export tab and import A-M string!
Four: Once you’ve imported it, enter /reloadui in chat to save your import
Five: Once reloaded, reopen TSM and Import N-Z
Six: Again /reloadui once more to save that import.

Here’s a screenshot of what the group should look like, once successfully imported and group layout expanded. If you do not follow the steps above, then you will have a group missing, or maybe pets missing, so please follow careful!

blog pic for battlepets

When you do a search on the AH, please be aware that scanning times may be very high, due to the sheer amount of Battle Pets you’re searching. If you’d prefer to use a different search method, I’d recommend entering this into the TSM AH search box; /Battle Pets/i25 for level 25’s and /Battle Pets/i1 for level 1’s. This is slightly quicker and just use your tooltip with your price strings, to evaluate whether to make a purchase.

Please DM me on Twitter if you experience any issues, or you need some advice and I’ll get back to as soon as possible. This is the quickest method of contact!

Thank you to Sheyrah for the /reloadui tip, for updating TSM to prevent loss of data on multiple imports. Also a big thank you to Muffins for the Battle Pet ID’s for 7.3. Without these, this wouldn’t have been completed as quick! Muffin works within the TSM team, also known as TheOneOnDruryLane.

I’ve added their Twitter accounts, be sure to check them out!

5 Days till Legion…

So, the very long and tedious wait is almost over and the countdown for Legion is in the single digits, well… if you’re an EU player, it’s 5 days to be precise. The question on my lips is… are you prepared?! LOL

Legion Preperations
Given that my efforts in the build up to the release of Legion was to buy as much stock as possible, invest in as many cheap battle pets as I could possibly get my hands on and more importantly, level all my professions up to 700 to take advantage of new patterns and craft best in slot crafts for Legion levelling. It’s been a huge success and I’m definitely prepared! If you read my previous article “As the dust settles on the legion pre-patch” you’ll know that I’ve built up an impressive inventory worth approximately 25m gold. I will continue to build this up further, right up to the last couple of hours of Warlords of Draenor, then look to sort my inventory out, to maximise my transition to Legion. My Transmog has all been moved to an alt account, so I can buy and post auctions, whilst playing on my main account, the ability to buy WoW Tokens, has made this easy and achievable.

It’s worth noting at this point, many people without the space, will look to offload a lot of their inventory, in readiness for Legion so they have space to level and gather new materials in Legion. People like myself, who have plenty of space, thanks to Guild Banks, look to profit from the very cheap materials that people will post. If you check your Auction House, you may already noticed a big influx of cheap materials already. If I had any tips for you, it would be to buy up as much Outland materials as you possibly can! For example, Motes, Primals, Scales, Leather and Enchanting materials. Farming will die down, with the introduction of new content and some of the best Transmog crafts need these materials. Not to mention the Tomes you can craft from Enchanting.

Yet Another TCG Battle Pet Dupe Wave
Another thing you might have noticed recently, is another dupe wave of (TCG) Trading Card Game battle pets. Sadly, any hope of holding out for Legion to sell my stock, took a small hit, as the new wave gave another opportunity to others to build their inventory full of cheap TCG pets. Hopefully, those who did take up the opportunity to buy cheap pets, took the same method as myself and opted to buy through the Auction House. You may or may not be aware, but any transactions via the Auction House are protected. So if the worst possible scenario was to happen and your pets were removed, you should get a full refund of the gold spent on that purchase. This doesn’t extend to pets purchased via trade, so be very careful! Tio from @BlizzardCSEU_EN on Twitter was kind enough to reiterate its stance on refunds regarding compromised TCG battle pets/mounts purchased via the Auction House. Below is a couple of images to offer some confidence.

Replica Transmog
Thankfully, another thing I’ve noticed, is a drop in competition for Replica Transmog gear on my realm. This was maybe due to a new set of recipes that were made available for Scribes within the Darkmoon Faire. These cost a fair amount of tokens, thus meaning people averted their attention from buying Replica gear to purchasing these recipes. These recipes were released prior to Legion, so many wanted a head-start. The release of the new Transmog System and low competition had a massive effect on my sales, as they increased hugely over the last 2-3 weeks.

Replica sales last 30 days

Blizzard Getting DDOS Again…
Again, thanks to the world of Twitter, I’ve been made aware that again Blizzard have succumb to more DDOS attacks, which if your memory serves you well, you’ll remember it was one of the major incidents to affect the first day of the release of Warlords of Draenor. Here’s hoping that Blizzard hurry and fix these recent issues and also prevent another fiasco on the release of Legion. It’s fair to say, Blizzard lost a lot of confidence from its returning players that day, and that’s not even mentioning the word Garrisons…lol.

Power Levelling Via Legion Invasions
And last, but not least Legion Invasions… If you have alts that you fancy power levelling up before Legion, I’d suggest you get involved in this now, before it’s too late! As long as your alt is level 10 or higher, it can take part. Simply open your map (M) go to an area that is highlighted as being invaded and complete stage 1 and 2. Once Stage 3 starts, simply log out fully (you’ll see a 20 second countdown) and log back in. This will take you back to stage 1 and simply rinse and repeat. You will only get a reward once per invasion, but the sole purpose of this, isn’t the rewards, it’s the extremely high XP you gain from killing the mobs and completing the stages. Be sure to know that the mobs scale to your level, but be very vigilant, pull too many on your own and you could find yourself ressing a lot. Try and get some XP potions and Heirlooms as they help, but not important!

A helpful addon; LegionInvasionTimer
This is an excellent addon, shows you where the invasions are taking place and how long left before they reset.

Okay, one more thing… Just a reminder, that due to Legion incoming, I wont be here a great deal, but please do follow me on Twitter to get regular updates and see what I’m buying and selling. I’m also available for questions too, rest assured, if I don’t have the answer, I’ll know someone who will.

Thanks for reading guys and stopping by, until next time… Goodbye  🙂

As The Dust settles on the Legion Pre Patch

Legion Pre-Patch:

Well, we’re finally approaching the end of another week of the new Legion Pre-Patch, and things are finally starting to settle down. I think it’s fair to say we’re slowly getting accustomed to our new class changes, the loss of stats, and the unfortunate changes to Serverhop or Cross Realm Assist. Well, if you were an avid open-world farmer, it’s not all lost, as you’ll find out later on!

My Legion Pre-Patch Hoarding Update:

When an expansion comes to an end, it’s a great time to get yourself prepared for the new expansion and, as a gold-maker, attempt to profit from those, that weren’t fortunate enough to follow suit. I’ve been swamped the last couple of weeks and can happily say I’m ready for Legion

At the end of May, my liquid gold was at approximately 3.2 million. I think I’ve invested all my gold wisely, but the full results won’t be clear until I sell my stock. According to TradeSkillMaster (TSM) the approximate value of my inventory currently stands at 25.7m.

TSM total inventory

Choosing The Right Price Source:

Now, I’m fully aware that this total can be manipulated by the ‘value price source‘ that’s input. So let me reassure you all by clarifying my custom price source below.

avg(DBRegionMarketAvg, DBGlobalMarketAvg, TUJGlobalMedian, DBRegionHistorical, DBGlobalHistorical)

You’ll see that I haven’t got DBMarket as this can be manipulated from clever goblins on the server, so I don’t use this! Instead, my price string is influenced by average Region and Global prices to give me an excellent average price source. This custom price source is similar to Mankind’s; if you haven’t seen his TSM videos, click HERE. They are amazing videos that help you understand everything to do with TSM, so check them out!

Investing In TCG Battle Pets:

I’ve invested much of my gold in level 25 Battle Pets (mostly very rare TCG Battle Pets). Battle Pets are an excellent investment, as they can be learned and caged, so if you’re having no luck selling on a specific realm, learn and cage them and sell on a different realm!

TCG Battle Pets are always in demand, as the Trading Cards are quite expensive, and many players would prefer to spend gold on Battle Pets rather than real money.

Battle Pets for Legion

Rare MoP Battle Pets:

I will be looking to sell the rare MoP Battle Pets asap, as MoP raids will become more accessible, thanks to Legion. Although these pets are currently challenging to obtain due to their low drop rates, the supply will rise as more people clear that content.

If you want to see updates on what I’m selling or stocking up for Legion, and get updates as they happen via my Twitter and Facebook. I’m also happy to answer any questions you may have.

If I don’t have the answer, I’m sure I may know someone who will.

ServerHop or CrossrealmAssist nerf:

Sadly there were adjustments or nerfs to the much loved ServerHop or CrossRealmAssist, which to some extent, brought new beginnings. Whether these were intended or not is another matter, but thankfully if you use these addons to farm in open-world content, you’ll be relieved to know it’s still beneficial to use them.

The devs changed it so that if you were joining a group, you had to be within the vicinity of the leader to join a player on a different realm successfully. With this change, bought the ability to ‘hyper spawn‘ mobs. If you were in a five-person group and carefully positioned, this meant that the mobs were instantly spawning as soon as you killed and looted them.

It wasn’t too long before people realized that you could form two groups of four players and go to town on specific areas for farming.

Farming Raw Materials:

For example, the materials on the Auction House,  Volatile Water,  Primal Fire have crashed, due to the amount that people are successfully farming up. The most significant success so far is the frog farm on the Timeless Isle. With  Sha Crystal so hard to come by, there’s an absolute mint to be made here! It’s also worth noting, that you don’t ignore the whelpling farms too.

Supreme Lord Kazzak:

I stopped participating in the Kazzak weekly kill for a bit of time, but it comes to my attention that it’s worthwhile again. Not only do you have the chance to loot double the  Felblight than what you got before pre-patch, but you can also loot ilvl 720 gear now, with the chance to get upgraded to Warforged or even Titanforged. I have many alts, which has given me the incentive to get them geared before Legion.

** It’s important to know, that Blizzard has prevented players below level 100 to get loot from a Kazzak kill. **

Squirt Menagerie Daily Nerfed:

As Peelyon expected, the Squirt daily got nerfed, and our beloved Weebomination is no longer of any use to us, well in the circumstances that we want to cleave the mobs and thus complete the battle quick as possible. So this means we need a workaround. Thankfully Peelyon and a user on Wowhead (Robotusch) have a solution. To view this new strategy, please follow this link.

If you’re not aware of Peelyon, be sure to check him out at Twitch. He has a wealth of knowledge on Battle pets and gold-making and writes on behalf of IcyVeins for their new gold-making forum. You can also catch me in his chat AKA GrahransWoWGold

Although I’m a poor Moderator, I’ll do my best to answer any questions you have in a bid to assist Peelyon.

That’s enough of me rambling on! Don’t forget guys, 18th (US) or 19th (EU) for the release of Demon Hunter’s; I shan’t be jumping on straight away, as I’m expecting issues and will happily watch on and continue to post auctions.

Good luck, and thanks for reading!

Pre-Cataclysm Rare Shirts

Today I bring you a very early blog this morning, in an attempt to give you an excellent warning, regarding any alts or maybe your main, that you may have created before the release of Cataclysm, that may have some old shirts either equipped or stored in your bank.

As you’ll be aware by now, in a couple of days (July 19th to be exact), the Legion pre-patch will finally be going live, and this will bring the long-awaited Transmog Wardrobe. As well as the ability to change the look of your Weapons and Armor, you’ll also have the ability to learn those shirts, Tabards you’ve collected over time. However, there are some lovely shirts out there, most that are unobtainable any longer and these may be equipped on old alts or stored in personal banks.

Now is the best time to quickly log in to all of your alts and quickly check whether they have any rare shirts equipped. If they don’t, fear not, check your bank too. Remember, we’re explicitly looking for rare shirts that were starting shirts before the release of Cataclysm. Below I’ve added a list of the rare starter shirts.

Shirts:
Brawler’s Harness,  Footpad’s Shirt,  Initiate’s Shirt,  Lookout’s Tunic,  Primitive Mantle,  Primitive Mantle,  Recruit’s Shirt,  Recruit’s Shirt,  Rugged Trapper’s Shirt,  Scout’s Shirt,  Squire’s Shirt,  Squire’s Shirt,  Thug Shirt,  Trapper’s Shirt,  Trapper’s Shirt,  Warder’s Shirt

When checking the Auction House for shirts, be aware and cautious for shirts that may look rare, but are not! The shirts to be wary of are available from a vendor called Thomas Yance in Old Hillsbrad Foothills. I’ve added his shirts below.

Vendor Shirts:
 Recruit’s Shirt,  Squire’s Shirt,  Neophyte’s Shirt,  Apprentice’s Shirt,  Acolyte’s Shirt

Be sure not to buy these off the Auction House; many people will be looking to profit from those unsure of these shirts. The obvious trick is putting the  Squire’s Shirt on the Auction House and trick buyers, as this looks very similar to  Squire’s Shirt, but both are different!

If you have no interest in using any of these rare shirts, MAKE SURE THEY’RE NOT EQUIPPED PRIOR TO PRE-PATCH as they’ll become soulbound on the 19th! un-equip them and place them in your bag and get them on the Auction House asap. Most have a guide price from 50k upwards according to Wowhead, but they could easily demand a higher price, due to them no longer available. Don’t be scared to price them very high at the start of the Legion Pre-Patch and if you get no buyers, feel free to reduce the price slowly. Alternatively, do what I’m doing and leave them as high as possible, as you’ll get a completionist sooner or later, the price will only go up as they become rarer as others get learned.

Hope this helps, have fun and see you in Legion!

TradeSkillMaster Guides

Hello guys, I recently experienced some issues within TSM (TradeSkillMaster) and lost some information. I’m sure this wasn’t connected in anyway with the recent issues TSM have been experiencing, as I’m aware it was solely on the data on their drives and nothing do with our information on our end.

Upon seeking some advice or more some information from the interwebs on recreating some groups etc, I managed to stumble upon a great YouTube channel with some excellent guides, now I’m not going to be greedy and keep these to myself, instead I’ll add some details below, which maybe of interest to you. How on earth this chap has so little likes/subscribers is completely beyond me. I’ll add this blog post in a bid to help send some some traffic his way.

As ever guys, please show any appreciation for Mankind, by leaving a comment, like or even a subscribe on his YouTube channel. It means a lot to content creators, that enjoy writing, creating videos in a bid to help others.

Warlords of Draenor BiS Stage Gear

*** This Guide is now out of date, please do not use this, as the stats for all classes have now been changed in (7.0) Pre-Patch Legion. ***

Good morning guys, as promised in my previous post, here’s my Warlords of Draenor BiS Stage Gear – TSM3 Import Strings for Blacksmithing, Tailoring and Leatherworking. I currently don’t deal in Engineering weapons, Jewelcrafting rings and necklaces and Inscription weapons/trinkets due to them over flooded on my auction house, so these strings haven’t been added/created. However they could be created in the future if enough people want them.

May I first take this opportunity to first credit Sheyrah, to whom posted an incredible amount of information and uploaded the basic list to her pastebin. If it wasn’t for this, this would have taken a lot longer to create and manage. So thank you for sharing Sheyrah. If anyone has any aspirations in becoming a very good gold goblin, please do give Sheyrah and her partner Xionik a follow via their links below and check them out. They’re extremely good at what they do and boast to have earned well over 100 million gold.

To reassure you all on how I managed to make this accurate list, I used a website called Ask Mr. Robot to find out the best in slot (BiS) stats for any given class and spec. Once I had the stats noted down, I then went through Sheyrah’s list and carefully split up the BiS gear from the gear with random stats. Once this was complete, I then split the BiS gear up into their separate Stages from 1-6. Now when I hover over a crafted item, I can see whether or not it is of any value, thanks to my TSM tooltip set up.

Pic of TSM BiS craft gear for blog

Demand is extremely high at the moment, with no new content currently available and people are creating and levelling alts. This means high demand for crafted stage gear as it can be worn from level 90 to 100 and can be upgraded to a maximum Stage 6 – ilvl 705 (Weapon) or 715 (Armour) . I currently only upgrade to stage 4, to limit my expenses and make the most profit. This of course differs from your servers economy and what tactics you’d prefer to take.

Pic of TSM BiS craft gear for blog 1

Ideally, to make the most profit, it would be best to craft the items yourself, but this is time consuming and depends highly on the materials you have at your disposal. However, don’t be put off from making a decent return and buying the materials straight off the auction house. The tactic I use myself is a bit of both. The only thing I craft is the essences at the armour or weapons can be bought cheap.

Example:

Bought:
1x Supple Vest of the Deft (stage 1) – 1k
3x Burnished Essence – 5k (3k if I craft them myself)

Total – 6k (4k)

Sold:
1x Supple Vest of the Deft (Stage 4)  9-15k

Here’s my TSM Strings by Profession.

If you find any issues with this guide or want to add any feedback, please do drop a line below. If i do get enough interest I will invest some time to create those remaining strings. Currently I don’t need them myself, but would be happy to help others if they require them!

Again, please remember to give Sheyrah & Xionik a follow, their details can be found above and I can guarantee you wont regret it!

Thanks for reading guys and hope you found this guide a great help, feel free to post your sales in comment below or on my Social Media platforms!

A Great Weekend For Income and Investing.

It’s not a surprise that the weekends always bring higher sales, due to the increase of players able to play and this weekend was no different. To be fair, the cherry on the cake was the TSM3 price strings finally settling down, and offering a steady price source and this was proven by the return of many Replica Transmog sales etc.

Ive highlighted some of my sales this weekend, below.

The big surprise was the sale of the Replica Heroism Boots being purchased at a price that exceeded the price of the Replica Heroism Breastplate. Anyone familiar with farming the Darkmoon Faire tokens will know that the chest pieces are far more expensive than that of the boots.

Ive also seen an increase in pet sales this weekend too. Which to be fair, considering it was the Squirt Menagerie daily on Sunday, it was an absolute surprise. I managed to sell a Lanticore Spawnling for 20k and an Emerald Whelpling for 18k, but to top it off I also managed to sell a Hyacinth Macaw for 25k too.

I also managed to get into some new markets too, mainly recipes. I’ve always tried to dabble in the recipe market, but always put off, but thankfully I had a change in heart this weekend thanks to the reipes dropping onto my lap (so to speak). I had some cracking sales, which again, you can find below.

Now to a different perspective altogether. You might be familiar with the Guild Bank profits in the days of Mists of Pandaria, where you could boost a Guild to level 25 and get some alts inside and sell for huge profits. Well I used to buy a lot of these up for my alts, purely for the perks, but sadly this came to an end with the release of Warlords of Draenor. But… as you’ll see below, this still goes on, but with different perks in mind.

On Sunday, I glanced to trade chat whilst doing the Squirt Menagerie daily and to my surprise, there was a guy selling a Guild Bank for 160k, full of Transmog, Pets and Recipes inside. Now with my experience in this market in the past, I decided to contact the seller and he was extremely nice and let me check out the contents. When I checked, there was only 6 tabs, but the contents and tabs totalled a minimum of 370k. I said to the guy (cheekily), as there was only 6 tabs, I’ll go down to 150k, so I could get the 7th tab and to my surprise he agreed.

When everything was settled and transfered I finally got around to sorting the tabs out and 3 of the items above, that Ive sold, were from this Guild Bank and there’s still another 5 tabs worth of stuff that could net me a further 320k minimum!

The morale of the story is, dont be put off from buying something different, if the value is there! Trust your instincts and calculate the profits and by all means, trade safely before handing that hard earned gold over.

How has your weekend gone? have you made any notable sales? Share you stories in the comments below.

Thanks for reading and until next time…

TSM3 No Longer Supporting WoWuction Prices

I’m sure you’ve noticed already, (well if your like myself and a regular user of TSM3) that WoWuction is no longer supported with TSM3. If not, then I hope this post offers some important information for you. The decision was taken, mainly down to the instability on WoWuction’s part due to whatever reason. If you wish to see the official thread regarding this, and future developments then please click here.

With the end of TradeSkillMaster_WoWuction means the need to change our price operations if you’ve implemented any WoWuction sources in your price strings. For example, I have created a price string to take into consideration the WoWuction Region Market Value. Now because TSM doesnt support WoWuction anymore, TSM wont be able to recieve the data to update my prices, so I will need to remove this and add something else. At this moment in time, there’s no alternatives for region data, but there are some on the way. TSM are implementing their own region data called DBRegionMarketAvg this will replace wowuctionregionmarket. There is no date when this will be released, so my advice would be to make sure your TSM app is always updated automatically and you’ll get news when it’s available.

Until TSM is updated with any new region data, my prices will remain all over the show. You will notice this, if your following me on Twitter, as my Transmog sales have really slowed up. My prices seem very steep for some items, but very cheap for another. When I had my average prices from wowuctionregionmarket, DBMarket and DBGlobalMarketAvg it gave me a way to get a fair price between all three, now I’m just getting a price based on DBMarket and DBGlobalMarketAvg and it’s hurting my sales. I suppose I’ll have to just wait it out and be patient or as a last resort do a quick post from bags and just undercut those around me.

Anyway, I hope you’re not too badly effected by this news and hope you have a work around for the time being.

Good luck!
