Today, I wanted to take this opportunity to share the results of my recent commodity flipping. Most of the sales posted are regarding markets I’ve recently shared with you. With any luck, you’ve joined in and have your own stories to tell.
If you thought Garrisons in 2022 were of no interest, or more importantly, too much work to maintain to make worthwhile, you’d be wrong! You can make some excellent passive gold income with a specific Garrison setup (which I’ll explain later in the post).
Welcome to my fortnightly Sales Report from the 2nd July to 15th July. If this is the first report you’re reading, I hope you can find some value from it, maybe entice you into a new market for gold-making.
I didn’t write this report to boast; it’s more of an opportunity to prove that if I can do it, you can too! Check out what I’ve been selling and incorporate it into your posting routines.
To explain why I only do my reports over a fortnightly time frame, read this post.
TSM Ledger:
If you’re unaware of the TSM Ledger, it is a great tool available from the TSM website. The Ledger collects your purchase and sales data from the app and gives you the freedom to build reports.
If you’ve not used TSM Ledger yet, and you use the TSM app, give the Ledger a try; you can find out some fascinating information about your gold-making.
I returned from holiday on the 5th July, hence why sales start from the 6th. Again, I didn’t get to post all the auctions on all characters, but a fantastic return, as outlined below.
Selected Sales:
Below is a selection of sales from the markets I operate within. If there’s a market that interests you, click on the links added to view my guides.
With the recent lawsuit against Activision Blizzard and many streamers and players taking the difficult decision to quit World of Warcraft, I’ve also considered my options and will continue to play.
However, doing so doesn’t mean I do not condemn those responsible for what they’ve done; oh, I do! Instead, I believe, staying, showing support to those that desperately need us, and demand change.
I have offered my support to @ABetterABK and will continue to participate in any future protests/walkouts hoping we can amplify the voices of those affected and show Activision Blizzard that enough is enough.

The Sales Report:
For the third fortnight running [Medallion of the Legion] was top of the sales report. This fortnight, I made 4.05m gold worth of purchases and earned 7.7m gold in sales, which resulted in a profit of 3.7m gold.
Overall, it’s been another incredible fortnight’s worth of sales, not bad, considering I couldn’t post all my auctions as I went away on 28th June (as shown in the graph below).

Welcome to my fortnightly Sales Report from 2nd June to 16th June. This report is a couple of days early; this is because we have arranged to go on a week-long family holiday from 28th June. So if you’re reading this post today, I hope you can find some value from it, maybe entice you into a new market for gold-making.

The Sales Report:
This fortnight, I made 3.3m gold worth of purchases and earned 6.5m gold in sales, which resulted in a profit of 3.2m gold. [Medallion of the Legion] is still selling extremely well. I managed to sell 90 for a total of 433k.
I also managed to sell the recipe [Recipe: Greater Arcane Protection Potion] for 237k. Unfortunately, thanks to the sudden changes to unobtainable recipes in Shadowlands 9.1, now becoming obtainable once more, these recipes will begin to start losing value. For more information regarding these changes, read this post.
Overall, it’s been an incredible fortnight worth of recipe sales, proving that there’s much interest in this market. If you’d like to get involved in this market, consider checking out my guides here.

Welcome to my fortnightly sales report for May 19th to June 1st. As mentioned in a previous blog, I’ve decided to delay my sales reports by a few weeks to guarantee all data recorded as accurately as possible. Previously, I was missing purchase and sales data, which meant sales reports previous to this one, were flawed.
Changes:
You will notice that as of today, I will no longer use screenshots from my in-game mailbox. Due to different graphical settings with addons, the aspect ratios differed between other clients, which meant cropping sales data looked unprofessional. Instead, I will look at adding selected sales from my TSM Ledger.

The Sales Report:
This fortnight, I made 4m gold worth of purchases and earned 6.9m gold in sales, which resulted in a profit of 2.9m gold. Medallion of the Legion is still selling extremely well. I managed to sell 126 for a total of 545k. Surprisingly, I sold four level 25 TCG Battle Pets for a total of 1.4m gold.

Battle Pets:
A selection of Battle Pets sold this fortnight. For a guide on how I operate in this market, click here.
Island Expedition Transmog:
One of the most profitable markets in Shadowlands, check out my guides on flipping Island Expedition Transmog.
Legion BoEs:
Legion BoEs are still proving to be a very profitable market, and it doesn’t look like settling down as we approach Shadowlands 9.1. Check out my Legion BoEs guide here.
Recipes:
I’ve been making some steady gold with BoE Recipes, including Vendor Recipes. Check out my new guide here.
Replica Transmog:
Although my stock has decreased significantly, I’m still selling Replica Transmog. If you’re not getting involved, you’re missing out! Check out my guide here to get started!
Crafted Uncanny & Gladiator Transmog:
Although BFA and MoP are a distant expansion, Crafted Uncanny & Crafted Gladiator Transmog are still selling well. In addition, some of the materials needed are really cheap, so consider getting involved.
Mounts:
A selection of BoE Mounts sold throughout this fortnight.
Transmog:
The Transmog market is a slow, prolonged market, but it’s still worthwhile for a steady income. Pictures below are some Transmog items I’ve purchased from a vendor.
Selection of Other Sales:
Here’s a selection of sales that may be of interest to you; for guides regarding individual items sold, check below.

This fortnightly reset has been very busy on the gold-making front, hence the sales report’s slight delay. With the Darkmoon Faire, Outland Timewalking, and Noblegarden, there have been many opportunities to invest my gold in many different markets.
I created a post regarding the event, Noblegarden, and the brief collapse of the Swift Springstriders, which came to fruition on most of my realms. I purchased some mounts where the value dictated. Hopefully, you got in on the act too. Remember, you want to start posting these in a couple of weeks/months when the market stabilizes. The event introduced more mounts meaning the supply significantly outnumbered the demand, driving the mounts valuation down. The valuation will return to normal once the supply falls in line with the demand.
For clarification as to why I only post fortnightly, please check this article for further information.
TSM Ledger For 30th April to 13th March:
As expected, I’ve made a loss this fortnight due to purchasing cheap mounts and other bargains within other markets. I made 4,3m gold in sales, notably flipping, Exotic Leather, a Pattern: Shifting Cloak, 61x Medallion of the Legion, and a selection of mounts. I’ve added screenshots below outlining a selection of my sales, categorized where possible.
This fortnight proved to be another great result on the Island Expedition Transmog front. Investing in late BFA on the Stinkrot Smasher’s is proving to be rewarding. I was buying these for between 15-35k before the release of Shadowlands.
I remember in Legion when you couldn’t sell Cyno’s Mantle of Sin for love, nor money, and now they’re flying off the shelves – well, this fortnight anyway. Another good fortnight of Legion BoEs sales!
I won’t lie; I was disappointed in this fortnight sales return, and rightfully so. It’s hard to gauge why, but it could be the lure of other content; if it is the case, there should be an improvement next fortnight. If not, there could be competition undercutting me, preventing sales.
Recipes:
There was a standout sale this fortnight, the sale of the Pattern: Shifting Cloak for 300k. There were some more minor sales, showing that there’s still value in operating in this market.
If you saw my tweet on Twitter during the week, you’d have seen the mailbox I opened with a substantial amount of Replica Transmog sold on one realm. Believe it or not, but you can get many sales towards the end of the Darkmoon Faire as players check the Auction House for missing items to complete their set.
At the time of posting this article (15/04/21), I had 1,144 visitors this month, of which 172 visitors read my article on Replica Transmog. To explain the significance of this number and how popular this market has become, I had 2,873 visitors last month, of which only 10 visitors read my Replica Transmog article. As this market increases in popularity so will competition, looking for that sale, be sure to adjust your valuations accordingly.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen this many Battle Pet sales. Remember, these are just the best sales. The image(s) would have been too large had I added them all.
Selected Sales:
I managed to sell a considerable amount of Exotic Leather, Golden Lotus, and Spirit of Harmony. I took advantage of these materials when developers nerfed The Golden Stair farm in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. As players slowly move away from the content from the final patch of BFA, the amount of materials gathered from Pandaria slowly falls, and the demand increases, increasing their valuations. The sales above illustrate the rise in MoP raw materials demand and valuation.
If you’ve read this sales report today and some categories have sparked some interest, be sure to check out the links to be directed to my guides. I post auctions once a fortnight and don’t cancel or repost, so if I can make these sales over a fortnight, imagine what you can achieve if you have more time to post regularly or cancel and repost.
For more information as to why I only post once a fortnight, check this article.
If you have any questions, feel free to drop them below in the comment section. As ever, if you enjoyed this post or any other article I’ve created, please consider liking and sharing.
The best part of gold-making in World of Warcraft is when you access your mailbox, and you have a vast amount of gold to collect from the sales you’ve made. To increase the number of sales you can make, simply follow some of my suggestions below.
While it’s imperative to be the cheapest auction on the Auction House to guarantee sales, (i.e. cancel scanning and reposting) it also helps to have a wide range of auctions on the Auction House. I’m sure you’ve heard of Joe Bloggs; he solely operates in the Transmog market but he often complains that he doesn’t get many sales. However, I also work in the Transmog market, but I also complement it with other markets, Battle Pets, Raw Materials, Recipes, etc. Diversifying your auctions through different markets will help you engage with more potential customers, thus increasing your sales per reset. Operating within many markets will have its drawbacks, more significantly, the increased posting time needed to post all your auctions to the Auction House.
Here are my previous fortnightly reset sales for 28.02.21 – 14.03.21. Please check out my Posting Routine for a detailed explanation as to why I only post fortnightly.
The gold-making total for this fortnight was 4,9m gold, I sold 25083 items. I continued investing, where the market allowed me, and purchased 268593 items, spending 5,3m gold. This equates to a 384k gold loss. If you have the gold it’s important to continue investing and building your inventory. Remember what I explained above about diversity and operating in many different markets to maximise your sales – this is also a solid basis for trading outside of gold-making in World of Warcraft.
These stats were collected and calculated using the TSM Ledger.
I’m sure many of you remember the awful start we experienced on the release of Warlords of Draenor (WoD) and the inability to access the Dark Portal, and, later on in the night, the inability to access the starter quest to build our Garrisons. Once the developers ironed out the issues, it quickly became apparent how essential Garrisons would be in WoD and the wealth of things it would offer, most notably, the Medallion of the Legion!
As the expansion progressed, it wasn’t too long before players were aware of the mission table’s potential, and before you knew it, they were min-maxing their followers and traits, taking full advantage of the encounters available to them. The gold missions were insane, and the mission table gave us an alternative method to obtain raid loot. Still, an excellent addition was a mission that gave us another option to acquire the Medallion of Legion.
What is a Medallion of the Legion:
The Medallion of the Legion is an item that can be purchased from other players, looted via rares or acquired by completing a specific mission at the mission table. Upon consuming this Medallion, you will receive 1000 reputation with the denizens of Draenor.
Important: If you own a level 3 Trading Post and you’re situated within Draenor, once you consume the Medallion, you will receive a 20% bonus (if the Darkmoon Faire is in town, get the Whee! buff for an additional 10% bonus). The Sign of Iron buff from WoD Timewalking which rewards 50% reputation gains does not affect the Medallion of the Legion.
The Denizens of Draenor:
Once you consume your Medallion of the Legion, you will receive 1000 reputation to all these factions also known as the Denizens of Draenor. [A] Alliance Faction – [H] Horde Faction.
Ashran has since been reworked and released, but I’m unsure whether the limitations mentioned above are still an issue!
Why Should I Max My Denizens Reputations?
Locked behind the Denizens of Draenor are Companion Pets/Battle Pets, Followers, and Mounts. You will need Revered and Exalted to meet these requirements. An image below, outlining the reputation requirements to purchase items from the Council of Exarchs.
How to Obtain a Medallion of the Legion:
The Medallion of the Legion is a reward for killing and looting four rares within Tanaan Jungle; these rares had between an 18-19% chance to drop a Medallion. These rares were hugely popular due to players also farming Fel-Corrupted Apexis Fragment – you should only kill these rares once per day, per character; any more than once, and you’ll not receive any loot.
Here is a handy script that will inform you if you’ve already defeated the rare for today. Please enter it in the chatbox; it will inform you if you’ve conquered that rare for today. Source: Wowhead – slybootz
/run for k,v in pairs({deathtalon=39287, terrorfist=39288, doomroller=39289, vengeance=39290}) do print(format("%s: %s", k, IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(v) and "\124cFFFF0000Completed\124r" or "\124cFF00FF00Not completed yet\124r")) end
Eldritch Horrors:
As WoD progressed, the developers added a mission table encounter called Eldritch Horrors in patch 6.2. Upon completing this encounter, it rewarded players with a Medallion of the Legion.
Buying and Selling Medallion of the Legion:
If you’ve maxed out your reputations with the denizens of Draenor and have no use for them, you can post them on the Auction House. During WoD, the average price was 15k per Medallion; as WoD came to an end and the release of Legion, the price skyrocketed to 30k. Sadly, as the expansions have come and gone, so has a lot of its value. But don’t let that put you off. You can still find Medallions for approximately 1-2k gold each and can flip these between 4-7k each (Region/Realm dependant)
Although we’re in Shadowlands now, and WoD was almost seven years ago, don’t be fooled into thinking the Medallion of the Legion are of no interest anymore. I sell these regularly on the Auction House between 4-7k gold each. Players who have recently started/restarted playing World of Warcraft may try to catch up with their reputations or collect missing pets and mounts locked behind reputation requirements. The Medallions are a cheap and efficient method for players to catch up, and it’s this that gives them their current value.
If you find any errors in this post, or wish to add anything I’ve missed, please post within the comment section below and I’ll update my post where necessary. I’ve credited where information was shared by other authors. As ever, thank you to Wowhead for use of their Medallion of the Legion image, data, links, etc.
I don’t normally do random HC dungeons, but…
on this one occasion of mis-clicking the join que button and noticing that DPS was in high demand, I kept myself in the que. However, this was mainly down to one fact, it was merely the chance to earn a Savage Satchel of Cooperation. Normally these are only available to Healers and tanks, due to the high demand for them, but I was shocked to see DPS were also needed, so I happily obliged…lol.
As you may know, I’m keen to level all my alts to 100 as quick as possible. The downside to this is, that they’re all inadequately geared and wouldn’t even get into a MoP Heroic Dungeon (Sarcasm alert) let alone WoD Heroic Dungeon. Most are geared with Heirlooms and a couple of quest items, but the fact that there’s so much BoA Baleful gear, Empowered Apexis Fragment and most importantly, the chance to get a Medallion of the Legion in this Satchel, it would be madness not to take advantage of this opportunity.
I’m not sure how long this is will last for, but if you’re in the same predicament as myself, I urge you to take advantage aswell. 12 level 100 alts and another 2 on the horizon, these satchels could be a blessing in disguise…lol.
