Fortnightly Sales Report (17th June to 1st July)

Fortnightly Sales Report

Fortnightly Sales Report (2nd June – 16th June):

Welcome to my fortnightly Sales Report from the 17th June to 1st July. If this is the first report you’re reading, I hope you can find some value from it, maybe entice you into a new market for gold-making.

I didn’t write this report to boast; it’s more of an opportunity to prove that if I can do it, you can too! Check out what I’ve been selling and incorporate it into your posting routines.

To explain why I only do my reports over a fortnightly time frame, read this post.

TSM Ledger:

If you’re unaware of the TSM Ledger, it is a great tool available from the TSM website. The Ledger collects your purchase and sales data from the app and gives you the freedom to build reports.

If you’ve not used TSM Ledger yet, and you use the TSM app, give the Ledger a try; you can find out some fascinating information about your gold-making.

The Sales Report:

For the third fortnight running [Medallion of the Legion] was top of the sales report. This fortnight, I made 4.05m gold worth of purchases and earned 7.7m gold in sales, which resulted in a profit of 3.7m gold

I managed to sell 188 [Medallion of the Legion] for a total of 889k5 [Reins of the Tamed Bloodfeaster] for 432k6,801 [Darkmoon Daggermaw] for 267k, and another recipe, [Plans: Masterwork Stormhammer], for 237k. A notable mention is the [Blade of Wizardry] that I sold for 177k.

Overall, it’s been another incredible fortnight’s worth of sales, not bad, considering I couldn’t post all my auctions as I went away on 28th June (as shown in the graph below).

Fortnightly Sales Report

Fortnightly Sales Report (2nd June – 16th June):

Welcome to my fortnightly Sales Report from 2nd June to 16th June. This report is a couple of days early; this is because we have arranged to go on a week-long family holiday from 28th June. So if you’re reading this post today, I hope you can find some value from it, maybe entice you into a new market for gold-making.

To explain why I only do my reports over a fortnightly time frame, read this post.

The Sales Report:

This fortnight, I made 3.3m gold worth of purchases and earned 6.5m gold in sales, which resulted in a profit of 3.2m gold. [Medallion of the Legion] is still selling extremely well. I managed to sell 90 for a total of 433k.

I also managed to sell the recipe [Recipe: Greater Arcane Protection Potion] for 237k. Unfortunately, thanks to the sudden changes to unobtainable recipes in Shadowlands 9.1, now becoming obtainable once more, these recipes will begin to start losing value. For more information regarding these changes, read this post.

Overall, it’s been an incredible fortnight worth of recipe sales, proving that there’s much interest in this market. If you’d like to get involved in this market, consider checking out my guides here.

Fortnightly Sales Report (19 May to 1 June 21)

Fortnightly Sales Report

May 19th to June 1st Fortnightly Sales Report:

Welcome to my fortnightly sales report for May 19th to June 1st. As mentioned in a previous blog, I’ve decided to delay my sales reports by a few weeks to guarantee all data recorded as accurately as possible. Previously, I was missing purchase and sales data, which meant sales reports previous to this one, were flawed.

Changes:

You will notice that as of today, I will no longer use screenshots from my in-game mailbox. Due to different graphical settings with addons, the aspect ratios differed between other clients, which meant cropping sales data looked unprofessional. Instead, I will look at adding selected sales from my TSM Ledger.

TSM Ledger:

If this is your first look at my sales reports, and you’re unaware of the TSM Ledger, it is a great tool available from the TSM website. The Ledger collects your purchase and sales data from the app and gives you the freedom to build reports.

The Sales Report:

This fortnight, I made 4m gold worth of purchases and earned 6.9m gold in sales, which resulted in a profit of 2.9m gold. Medallion of the Legion is still selling extremely well. I managed to sell 126 for a total of 545k. Surprisingly, I sold four level 25 TCG Battle Pets for a total of 1.4m gold.

Huge Ogre Cache

Flipping Huge Ogre Cache

Huge Ogre Cache:

An excellent little niche market is the flipping cheap Huge Ogre Caches. These items are a reward from a mission called Ogrecoming Adversity via the Mission table within your Garrison (Warlords of Draenor). Using this item will give the player 1000 Garrison Resources. Players that no longer require Garrison Resources or are already at their maximum quantity (10,000) will often mail these to an alt or post on the Auction House.

If you’re fortunate, you can find players posting these very cheap on the Auction House. But, be warned, there are two different level requirements, Level 10 and Level 40. TSM4 cannot differentiate between the item’s minimum level requirements and will display all at Level 10. So, if you’re Level 10, be aware of this oversight before purchasing.

First Image: TSM4 incorrectly showing Huge Ogre Cach at Level 10
TSM4 Incorrectly Showing Huge Ogre Cache as Level 10

Second Image: World of Warcraft Default UI correctly showing the same item as Level 40

WoW Default AH UI Showing the Correct Level Requirement

Shopping for Huge Ogre Caches:

If you’re Level 10, and you accidentally purchase a minimum required Level 40 Huge Ogre Cache, you will find yourself unable to use this item until you meet the level requirement. Therefore, please take extra care when below Level 40, purchasing these items.

To get around this scenario, open the Auction House and scan for a Huge Ogre Cache; once you’ve found some change from the TSM4 UI to World of Warcraft’s default Auction House UI. Hovering your cursor over one of these items will correctly show (if any) the different level requirements for the Huge Ogre Cache.

Posting Huge Ogre Caches to the Auction House:

It’s important to remind you that this issue persists when posting these Huge Ogre Caches on the Auction House. Where possible, post these items carefully by sorting these items within your bags correctly. The Auction House will post the items in the order within your bag, ignoring the different level requirements.

For example, if you had 10 Huge Ogre Caches in your bag (6x Level 10 and 4x Level 40) group them separately by level (make sure Level 10’s are at the top of your bags), open the Auction House via World of Warcraft’s default UI, shift-click the Level 10 items you wish to post, and where it asks the amount to post, input 6. This will post the 6 Level 10 Huge Ogre Caches from the top of your bag.

Please ignore this section if you have no interest in profiting from the different level requirements.

Why Flip level 10 Huge Ogre Caches:

As mentioned previously, I post my level 10 Huge Ogre Caches higher than level 40 purely because of the number of new players currently playing; this might be of interest to you too! For example, new players at Level 10 that opt for ‘The Iron Horde‘ (Warlords of Draenor) campaign from Chromie will want to boost their Garrison Resources to build their buildings or participate in early missions promptly.

Conclusion:

As mentioned previously, I flip many Huge Ogre Caches, mainly the Level 10 items, as these are very desirable to new level 10 players with a new Garrison. Additionally, new players will be looking at boosting their Garrison Resources, which will efficiently speed up the development of their Garrison.

I can successfully flip these between 2,500 gold to 4,500 gold as illustrated below. Always consider the size of your realm and the competition before participating in this market.
