Unobtainable Classic Recipes Obtainable Again

Unobtainable Classic Recipes Obtainable Again:

Some excellent news was revealed today regarding the imminent release of the Shadowlands 9.1 patch. Classic recipes that were unobtainable following the release of Cataclysm will now be obtainable once more.

How to Obtain These Recipes:

During the Event, Cataclysm Timewalking, it will be possible to purchase classic recipes from the Cataclysm Timewalking vendor called Kiatke. This news is excellent for players that do not own these recipes already. However, this will negatively affect gold-makers who have already invested in these recipes, as their value will drop considerably.

What Recipes Are Available Again?

The following profession recipes will be available for purchase from Kiatke.

Alchemy:
Cooking:
Engineering:
Tailoring:
Leatherworking:

My Recent BoE Recipe Guides:

If you’re familiar with my recent guides regarding BoE Recipes, you will know that these recipes were among the recipes I urged you to invest in if the price was right. However, following today’s news, I encourage you not to purchase these any longer and quickly look at offloading these recipes immediately, as their value will considerably fall.

I will immediately amend my guides to reflect today’s changes.

Blue Post:

For confirmation of today’s news, please check out the blue post below. The image was taken from Wowhead’s recent post.

Classic unobtainable recipes obtainable again in Shadowlands 9.1

The Darkmoon Faire

The Darkmoon Faire

The Darkmoon Faire:

This Saturday, 4th June at midnight, sees the return of the Darkmoon Faire to Azeroth. The Darkmoon Faire has some excellent opportunities to get involved with if you enjoy gold-making. Darkmoon Artifacts, Replica Transmog, Darkmoon Companions, Fishing, and farming Darkmoon Rares are a few of the things on offer to you. But, remember, The Darkmoon Faire is only in town for a week, so make good use of your time!

Darkmoon Artifacts:

Darkmoon Artifacts are an essential commodity. These are quest starters that reward Darkmoon Prize Tickets and experience (or gold if you’re at max level). You can turn these Artifacts in once per Darkmoon Faire per character – so don’t forget those alts!

Mid-way throughout the month, when the Darkmoon Faire is out of town, these are posted very cheaply on the Auction House. So this is a great time to purchase these and store them ready for the Faire’s return. If you can’t turn anymore in, consider flipping them on the Auction House for other players.

Check out my blog post on Darkmoon Artifacts here.

Replica Transmog:

The Replica Transmog market is something I post about frequently. These pieces can demand a high price on the Auction House. To purchase these items, you’ll need to acquire Darkmoon Prize Tickets. The easiest method to obtain these is by handing in Darkmoon Artifacts, which I’ve mentioned above.

Remember, Replica pieces have a level requirement you must meet to successfully purchase them from the vendor.

Don’t forget to complete the daily quests at stools scattered on the Island. Completing one of these rewards one Darkmoon Prize Ticket, but you can complete these once per day.

Here’s my blog post regarding Replica Transmog.

Darkmoon Companion Pets:

If Replica Transmog isn’t of interest to you, then maybe some of the companion pets are. These will set you back 90 Darkmoon Prize Tickets each and, if leveled to 25, can earn you approximately 10-15k each on the Auction House, realm dependant. Check The Undermine Journal (TUJ) for prices on your realm!

Unsure what Companion Pets to buy, check my blog post here.

Sila’s Secret Stash:

One of the best ways to obtain Darkmoon Tickets is completing the quest Silas’ Secret Stash. This quest can only be completed once on any one character. Check out my post below for more information regarding Silas’ Secret Stash.

Silas’ Secret Stash

Fishing (Darkmoon Daggermaw):

Darkmoon Daggermaw is a fish you can catch along the shores of Darkmoon Isle. You’ll need to be on the lookout for Shipwreck Debris. You have a chance to successfully cast between 1-2 times, catching a Sealed Darkmoon Crate each time. Simply open the crate to loot Darkmoon Daggermaw and other potentially useful items.

I have success in selling Darkmoon Daggermaw between 25-50g each, depending on the realm. These are useful for the one-time quest Silas’ Secret Stash, a commodity for purchasing items from the vendor Galissa Sundew and a reagent for cooking. Check The Undermine Journal (TUJ) to see where the best value is for your Darkmoon Daggermaw.

My blog post regarding Darkmoon Daggermaw.

Farming Darkmoon Rares:

There are two rares on Darkmoon Isle, the Darkmoon Rabbit, and Moonfang. They both drop a companion pet, a Darkmoon Rabbit and a Moon Moon, respectively.

The Darkmoon Rabbit is worth between 25-30k, but if learned and leveled to 25, you could demand upwards of 40-50k. Moon Moon is worth approximately 15k, but if you learn it and level it to 25, you could demand about 30-35k.

Always check The Undermine Journal (TUJ) for a comprehensive valuation for your item on your realm!

Don’t Neglect Your Professions:

The Darkmoon Faire also has profession quests. Although these have a blue quest marker, these are not dailies; instead, these can only be completed once per Darkmoon Faire visit. However, it would be best not to ignore these because they give you five skill points towards your profession

These quests are ideal if you’re five points away from maxing your profession!

In Other News:

This week, I also completed my BoE Recipe groups. This project took me over seven days to complete and has information on every BoE recipe you can buy and sell on the Auction House. If you’ve ever considered getting involved within the BoE Recipe market, then check out my blog post here. It covers every profession and vendor BoE recipe.

I have created TSM groups that may be of interest to you, these do not have operations, and you can make changes however you wish. Be sure to backup your TSM Profile before importing.

If this is of interest to you, check out my blog post here.

BoE Vendor Recipes

Buying and selling recipes for gold-making

BoE Vendor Recipes:

You probably think there isn’t much value in flipping BoE Vendor Recipes, and you’d be wrong! Flipping recipes from a vendor can be a nice casual addition to your gold-making routines. Many players within World of Warcraft don’t like the thought of traveling around looking for vendors/recipes, especially those of limited availability, and that’s where we as gold makers come in.

BoE Vendor Recipe List:

Unlike my previous recipe posts, I won’t be creating a comprehensive list of all the recipes available; this is because there are 247 recipes available, and the list would be too long. However, please consider checking out my Pastebin for the TSM Group – BoE Vendor Recipes.

Vendor Recipes:

I’ve sorted the Vendor recipes you can purchase with a currency into two groups, Limited and Unlimited. There are also four recipes you can purchase with a commodity; these can prove very profitable, especially the Klaxxi recipes. The recipes are behind an Honored reputation requirement.

Limited Recipes (Currency):

These recipes have a limited amount available from a vendor. Once the vendor has sold out, you will need to wait until the vendor restocks that recipe. Limited recipes from vendors that are not easily accessible can prove to be very profitable. You’re offering a service, be sure to adequately price these recipes!

Unlimited Recipes (Currency):

These recipes have an infinite amount available. However, players will still purchase these from the Auction House if the price is right. After all, players don’t want to travel far if they can get a decent deal on the Auction House – time is money, friend!

Vendor Recipes (Commodity)

As mentioned above, there are four recipes available that you can purchase with a commodity. These commodities are readily available from the Auction House; you’ll need 40x Kyperite and 20x Darkmoon Daggermaw.

Ambersmith Zikk – Klaxxi Quartermaster: (Standing = Honored):

[Plans: Ghost Iron Shield Spike] (20x Kyperite)
[Plans: Living Steel Weapon Chain] (20x Kyperite)

Galissa Sundew (Darkmoon Faire):

[Recipe: Extra Lemony Herb Filet] (10x Darkmoon Daggermaw)
[Recipe: Lemon Herb Filet] (10x Darkmoon Daggermaw)

Buying and Selling Your Recipes:

When valuing your BoE Vendor recipe(s), I advise you to use The Undermine Journal (TUJ) and check the prices based on your realm. If you’d prefer an average price based on the region, I’d recommend using the EU or NA Median Price.

Pastebin:

I have taken the liberty of adding a Pastebin, which holds a TSM Group with the BoE Vendor Recipes. I’ve separated the subgroups as outlined above, and where possible, categorized them by their drop chance. Please remember that I do not add operations to my TSM groups to prevent any potential issues; default operations will automatically be assigned once imported successfully.

Feel free to make any adjustments you wish, but please make sure you backup your profile before importing and making any changes.

BoE Leatherworking Recipes

Buying and selling recipes for gold-making

Leatherworking Recipes:

Welcome to my comprehensive list of BoE Leatherworking Recipes. I have categorized the recipes into two categories, Obtainable and Unobtainable. The Obtainable recipes are those that still drop from mobs. The Unobtainable lists recipes that no longer have a source, or more importantly, are available from a profession trainer instead. I collected this data using Wowhead.

I’ve sorted the lists alphabetically, and the drop rate added is the highest percentage available. However, it’s essential to understand that the difficult to obtain recipes should hold the most significant value. Check The Undermine Journal (TUJ) for the recipe’s valuation.

I’ve also added helpful links to Wowhead if you’d wish to view the recipe(s) in greater detail.

Obtainable:

I’ve compiled a list of 101 BoE Leatherworking Recipes that are still obtainable in-game from killing mobs. Ignore the Buyout Price in the Quick Facts box on Wowhead, as these prices are incorrect. Instead, check The Undermine Journal (TUJ) for a precise valuation.

I have separated the [Recipe: Warbear Harness] into a different subgroup, don’t purchase; this is for your consideration. There is an alternative recipe [Recipe: Warbear Harness] available from the Timbermaw Hold vendor, Meilos, and you’ll need to meet the reputation requirement of Friendly to purchase it.

Due to the ease of obtaining this BoP recipe, I’d recommend not purchasing the BoE Recipe to flip!

Purchase:

Don’t Purchase:

Unobtainable:

There are 32 BoE Leatherworking Recipes in this category, which I’ve separated into two parts. Purchase and Don’t Purchase. Unavailable recipes found in-game that have no source, or alternative method, should be Purchased.

However, unavailable recipes that you can learn from a Profession Trainer, or purchase from a Trader, Do not Purchase these from the Auction House under any circumstance! These recipes have no value whatsoever! Therefore, I have also added these recipes to my TSM to prevent accidentally purchasing them. Make sure you remove all purchase operations for this category!

Purchase:

Don’t Purchase:

Alternative BoP recipe(s):
These recipes are learned from a Profession Trainer:

Recipes available once more via the Cataclysm Timewalking vendor Kiatke in Shadowlands 9.1 (Confirmation here)

Smart Loot:

7 BoE Leatherworking Recipes in this category should be carefully considered before purchasing. These recipes have an alternative BoP recipe, which has a Smart Loot tag. These recipes have a greater drop rate than shown on Wowhead. This is because players that have the Leatherworking Profession and don’t currently have the recipe, have a greater chance of looting these recipes.

Recipes via Quest Rewards:

2 BoE Leatherworking Recipes are available from completing two quests. Consider the prices of these recipes before purchasing. These quests are faction-specific!

Faction Specific Recipes:

Take extra care when purchasing these 16 BoE Leatherworking Recipes, as they’re faction-specific.
