Darkmoon Companion Pets

Darkmoon Companion Pets

Darkmoon Companion Pets:

The Darkmoon Faire offers 15 Darkmoon Companion Pets, some of which can be very profitable, none more so than the Darkmoon Rabbit and Moon Moon. These two Companion Pets come from the two rares, Darkmoon Rabbit and Moonfang.

Be aware there are Companion Pets from vendors if you have gold, Darkmoon Daggermaw, and Darkmoon Prize Tickets to spare. However, I’d urge you to consider purchasing Replica Transmog if you are above level 23 with Darkmoon Prize Tickets. Are you interested in Replica Transmog? Check out this article!

Please continue reading for a brief explanation of each Companion Pet, how you can get yours, and ensure you price them correctly for the Auction House!

Farming Candy Buckets

Hallow's End - Farming Candy Buckets

Farming Candy Buckets:

With Hallow’s End with us until the 1st of November, there’s still time for farming Candy Buckets; this is an ideal opportunity to gain experience and get involved in the Companion Pet/Battle Pet Market.

This Farm also benefits low-level characters; with the Winds of Wisdom buff, the experience isn’t too bad. I earned two and a half levels and 90 Tricky Treats just farming the Candy Buckets within Kalimdor!

Flawless Battle-Stone

Flawless Battle-Stone Thumbnail

Flawless Battle-Stone:

If you’re an avid Battle Pet player within World of Warcraft, you’ll be familiar with the Flawless Battle-Stone. Due to these stones being Bind on Equip, they’ve proven to be a valuable commodity to flip at the Auction House. I’ve recently shown my readers that you can make substantial profit margins from flipping Flawless Battle-Stones.

Pet Battles: Sir Galveston

Pet Battles: Sir Galveston

Pet Battles: Sir Galveston

Today, Wednesday 26th January sees the return of the Pet Battle: Sir Galveston within the E.U region. If you’re unaware, when this Pet Battle coincides with the Pet Battle week bonus (Sign of the Critter), you can level a level battle pet to level 25 in two battles.

Yes, due to this only taking 9 rounds to complete, this is more efficient than leveling pets via your Garrisons Menagerie and the pet battle: Squirt!

For my readers that live within the U.S region, Sir Galveston will be available for you from tomorrow (Thursday 27th January).

Where is Sir Galveston located?

You can locate Sir Galveston within the pet battle arena of Dalaran (Legion). Coordinates [28.24]. He will be available for one day, so be prompt if you want to level many battle pets!

Team:

We’ll need a level 25 Court Scribe [P/S] and a level 25 Surger [S/S]. I specifically opted for these breeds as they appear to return a 100% success rate!

Your leveling pet can be whatever pet you wish. As the pet doesn’t enter the fight, they won’t take any damage, which means it can be as low as level 1. This is an ideal opportunity to level those expensive battle pets.

Skills:

For this to be efficient, we’re going to need a specific set of skills, cue Liam Neesen meme! The skills that aren’t important have been highlighted with an asterisk. Add any skill here, as it won’t be used!

Court Scribe:
  • Stot One: (1) Arcane Blast
  • Slot Two: (*) Any
  • Slot Three: (2) Curse of Doom
Surger:
  • Slot One: (*) Any
  • Slot Two: (1) Stone Rush
  • Slot Three: (1) Body Slam

Strategy:

Thank you to nogulpfrog from wow-petguide, who has shared their strategy. Check out the website for other pet battle guides and strategies!

  • Move One: Arcane Blast
  • Move Two: Arcane Blast
  • Move Three: Pass!
  • Move Four: Arcane Blast
  • Move Five: Arcane Blast (Coach dies)
  • Move Six: Curse of Doom (Court Scribe dies)
  • Select Surger
  • Move Seven: Body Slam
  • Move Eight: Stone Rush
  • Move Nine: Body Slam (Greatest Foe dies)
  • Move Ten: Stone Rush (Sir Murkeston dies)

YouTube Video:

For those that would prefer a visual look at this battle played out, please check out my short video below. I chose the battle pet Naxxy to level, remember, you can opt for any pet you wish!

Sign of the Critter:

Every seven weeks, there’s a bonus event [Sign of the Critter] which gives 100% increased experience via Pet Battles. This event is fantastic when one of the power leveling Pet Battles is also active, as it means we can level Battle Pets to level 25 in two battles!

85% Leveling Buff!

If the battle pet bonus event [Sign of the Critter] isn’t active, and Sir Galveston (or any other power leveling Pet Battles are available), check out the Battle Pet Masters scattered around Azeroth and put those Pet Charms to good use.

Although nowhere near beneficial as the increased 100% experience gained from the bonus event, we can still obtain an 85% increase to battle pet experience by purchasing Pet Treats and equipping either the Safari Hat or the Darkmoon Top Hat.

Breakdown:

After completing your two fights (as outlined in the video above), you’ll find yourself a couple of levels short of level 25. By using Flawless Battle-Training Stones, you can reach level 25! Visit a Battle Pet Master for these Stones!

I recommend not purchasing the [Mystery Bag]. Although the bag is cheaper than buying the Flawless Battle-Training Stone, and you have a chance to obtain two Stones, be warned the Battle-Training Stones from within the [Mystery Bag] are Family Specific!

If you don’t have enough Pet Charms to purchase any Flawless Battle-Training Stones, do one more battle (three in total) to reach level 25!

If you cannot buy any of the above, and the bonus event isn’t live, it will take you four battles to get level 25!

Can I Stack the 85% Buffs with the 100% Bonus Event?

Yes, you can! Be warned; this method is only beneficial if you have Flawless Battle-Training Stones!

While [Sign of the Critter] is active, and using the details above regarding the 85% buff, participate in one Pet Battle with Sir Galveston (or any other power leveling Pet Battles are available) and use Flawless Battle-Training Stones to reach level 25.

I can’t stress this enough if you do not have Flawless Battle-Training Stones, stacking the 85% buffs and the 100% Bonus Event is worthless!

Fortnightly Sales Report (17th June to 1st July)

Fortnightly Sales Report

Fortnightly Sales Report (2nd June – 16th June):

Welcome to my fortnightly Sales Report from the 17th June to 1st July. If this is the first report you’re reading, I hope you can find some value from it, maybe entice you into a new market for gold-making.

I didn’t write this report to boast; it’s more of an opportunity to prove that if I can do it, you can too! Check out what I’ve been selling and incorporate it into your posting routines.

To explain why I only do my reports over a fortnightly time frame, read this post.

TSM Ledger:

If you’re unaware of the TSM Ledger, it is a great tool available from the TSM website. The Ledger collects your purchase and sales data from the app and gives you the freedom to build reports.

If you’ve not used TSM Ledger yet, and you use the TSM app, give the Ledger a try; you can find out some fascinating information about your gold-making.

The Sales Report:

For the third fortnight running [Medallion of the Legion] was top of the sales report. This fortnight, I made 4.05m gold worth of purchases and earned 7.7m gold in sales, which resulted in a profit of 3.7m gold

I managed to sell 188 [Medallion of the Legion] for a total of 889k5 [Reins of the Tamed Bloodfeaster] for 432k6,801 [Darkmoon Daggermaw] for 267k, and another recipe, [Plans: Masterwork Stormhammer], for 237k. A notable mention is the [Blade of Wizardry] that I sold for 177k.

Overall, it’s been another incredible fortnight’s worth of sales, not bad, considering I couldn’t post all my auctions as I went away on 28th June (as shown in the graph below).

Fortnightly Sales Report (2nd June to 16th June 21)

Fortnightly Sales Report

Fortnightly Sales Report (2nd June – 16th June):

Welcome to my fortnightly Sales Report from 2nd June to 16th June. This report is a couple of days early; this is because we have arranged to go on a week-long family holiday from 28th June. So if you’re reading this post today, I hope you can find some value from it, maybe entice you into a new market for gold-making.

To explain why I only do my reports over a fortnightly time frame, read this post.

The Sales Report:

This fortnight, I made 3.3m gold worth of purchases and earned 6.5m gold in sales, which resulted in a profit of 3.2m gold. [Medallion of the Legion] is still selling extremely well. I managed to sell 90 for a total of 433k.

I also managed to sell the recipe [Recipe: Greater Arcane Protection Potion] for 237k. Unfortunately, thanks to the sudden changes to unobtainable recipes in Shadowlands 9.1, now becoming obtainable once more, these recipes will begin to start losing value. For more information regarding these changes, read this post.

Overall, it’s been an incredible fortnight worth of recipe sales, proving that there’s much interest in this market. If you’d like to get involved in this market, consider checking out my guides here.

Fortnightly Sales Report (19 May to 1 June 21)

Fortnightly Sales Report

May 19th to June 1st Fortnightly Sales Report:

Welcome to my fortnightly sales report for May 19th to June 1st. As mentioned in a previous blog, I’ve decided to delay my sales reports by a few weeks to guarantee all data recorded as accurately as possible. Previously, I was missing purchase and sales data, which meant sales reports previous to this one, were flawed.

Changes:

You will notice that as of today, I will no longer use screenshots from my in-game mailbox. Due to different graphical settings with addons, the aspect ratios differed between other clients, which meant cropping sales data looked unprofessional. Instead, I will look at adding selected sales from my TSM Ledger.

TSM Ledger:

If this is your first look at my sales reports, and you’re unaware of the TSM Ledger, it is a great tool available from the TSM website. The Ledger collects your purchase and sales data from the app and gives you the freedom to build reports.

The Sales Report:

This fortnight, I made 4m gold worth of purchases and earned 6.9m gold in sales, which resulted in a profit of 2.9m gold. Medallion of the Legion is still selling extremely well. I managed to sell 126 for a total of 545k. Surprisingly, I sold four level 25 TCG Battle Pets for a total of 1.4m gold.

Fortnightly Gold-Making Sales 13.04.21

Fortnightly Gold-Making Sales

Fortnightly Sales Report – 13th March

This fortnightly reset has been very busy on the gold-making front, hence the sales report’s slight delay. With the Darkmoon Faire, Outland Timewalking, and Noblegarden, there have been many opportunities to invest my gold in many different markets.

I created a post regarding the event, Noblegarden, and the brief collapse of the Swift Springstriders, which came to fruition on most of my realms. I purchased some mounts where the value dictated. Hopefully, you got in on the act too. Remember, you want to start posting these in a couple of weeks/months when the market stabilizes. The event introduced more mounts meaning the supply significantly outnumbered the demand, driving the mounts valuation down. The valuation will return to normal once the supply falls in line with the demand.

For clarification as to why I only post fortnightly, please check this article for further information.

TSM Ledger For 30th April to 13th March:

Fortnightly Gold-Making Sales Data via TSMLedger

As expected, I’ve made a loss this fortnight due to purchasing cheap mounts and other bargains within other markets. I made 4,3m gold in sales, notably flipping, Exotic Leather, a Pattern: Shifting Cloak, 61x Medallion of the Legion, and a selection of mounts. I’ve added screenshots below outlining a selection of my sales, categorized where possible.

I spent just over 4,3m gold, investing in 204x Medallion of the Legion, Battle Pets, Legion BoEs, Island Expedition Transmog, Raw Materials, and of course, Swift Springstriders. There were a lot more purchases, but these were the primary investments.

My Sales:

Island Expedition Transmog:

Fortnightly Island Expedition Transmog Sales

This fortnight proved to be another great result on the Island Expedition Transmog front. Investing in late BFA on the Stinkrot Smasher’s is proving to be rewarding. I was buying these for between 15-35k before the release of Shadowlands.

Legion BoEs:

Fortnightly Legion BoEs sales

I remember in Legion when you couldn’t sell Cyno’s Mantle of Sin for love, nor money, and now they’re flying off the shelves – well, this fortnight anyway. Another good fortnight of Legion BoEs sales!

Crafted Uncanny & Dreadful Gear:

Fortnightly Uncanny Gear Sales

Fortnightly Dreadful Gear Sales

I won’t lie; I was disappointed in this fortnight sales return, and rightfully so. It’s hard to gauge why, but it could be the lure of other content; if it is the case, there should be an improvement next fortnight. If not, there could be competition undercutting me, preventing sales.

Recipes:

Fortnightly Recipe Sales

There was a standout sale this fortnight, the sale of the Pattern: Shifting Cloak for 300k. There were some more minor sales, showing that there’s still value in operating in this market.

Replica Transmog:

Fortnightly Replica Transmog Sales

If you saw my tweet on Twitter during the week, you’d have seen the mailbox I opened with a substantial amount of Replica Transmog sold on one realm. Believe it or not, but you can get many sales towards the end of the Darkmoon Faire as players check the Auction House for missing items to complete their set.

At the time of posting this article (15/04/21), I had 1,144 visitors this month, of which 172 visitors read my article on Replica Transmog. To explain the significance of this number and how popular this market has become, I had 2,873 visitors last month, of which only 10 visitors read my Replica Transmog article. As this market increases in popularity so will competition, looking for that sale, be sure to adjust your valuations accordingly.

Battle Pets:

Fortnightly Battle Pet Sales

It’s been a while since I’ve seen this many Battle Pet sales. Remember, these are just the best sales. The image(s) would have been too large had I added them all.

Selected Sales:

Fortnightly Selected Sales

I managed to sell a considerable amount of Exotic Leather, Golden Lotus, and Spirit of Harmony. I took advantage of these materials when developers nerfed The Golden Stair farm in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. As players slowly move away from the content from the final patch of BFA, the amount of materials gathered from Pandaria slowly falls, and the demand increases, increasing their valuations. The sales above illustrate the rise in MoP raw materials demand and valuation.

It was also another good fortnight selling 61x Medallion of the Legion for 255k. I also sold a Teebu’s Scorching Straight Sword, many mounts, including Reins of the Crimson Deathcharger, Goldenmaine’s Reins, and a Tome of Polymorph: Polar Bear.

If you’ve read this sales report today and some categories have sparked some interest, be sure to check out the links to be directed to my guides. I post auctions once a fortnight and don’t cancel or repost, so if I can make these sales over a fortnight, imagine what you can achieve if you have more time to post regularly or cancel and repost.

For more information as to why I only post once a fortnight, check this article.

If you have any questions, feel free to drop them below in the comment section. As ever, if you enjoyed this post or any other article I’ve created, please consider liking and sharing.

Thanks for reading!
