Uncanny Gear (Inscription)

With a couple of weeks until the release of Shadowlands Pre-patch, I thought it would be a great time to quickly jump back on the crafting bandwagon and give you some tips for crafting Uncanny gear via the profession: Inscription.

With the expansion almost at an end, don’t be put off thinking the Uncanny gear isn’t worthwhile anymore, as you’d be wrong! It’s still selling extremely well, and with a couple of things to consider (outlined below), we can profit from players quickly levelling alts ready for the pre-patch.

Important: Make sure you have rank 3 recipes learned.

It’s imperative that you have rank 3 on all the Uncanny recipes it prevents us from losing gold in the long run. It will also reduce the amount of Expulsom required to craft an item. Expulsom is a problematic material to acquire and is necessary for every Uncanny craft and the best way to gather this is following Samadan’s bracer shuffle method. Please follow his directions precisely. Once we’ve collected all our Expulsom from scrapping the bracers, we can start to craft our Uncanny items.

It’s best to craft every item, so be sure to craft as many of each as you can. I have a minimum of 10 of each item posted on the Auction House. The reason being is my TSM has Ignore Variation unticked. The benefit to this is that we make sure we get the best value for the items with the best stats. If we have Ignore Variation ticked TSM will post all of our gear on the Auction House below the cheapest item, regardless of its stats, and we stand to lose gold on our best items. So be sure to untick Ignore Variation for the best results!

It’s worth bearing in mind, that once Shadowlands has released and dependant on scaling (due to level squish), Uncanny Gear shouldn’t be important, other than for the benefit of Transmog and only then, would I consider ticking the Ignore Variation. Stats won’t matter if someone is purchasing your gear purely for Transmog purposes. Remember to adapt as the game transitions to stay one step ahead of your competition.

Uncanny Off-Hand

With the Auction House throttle activated when you cancel auctions to repost, I’d recommend posting your Uncanny Gear at 12-hour or 24-hour intervals. This gives you the freedom to post more often without getting throttled. Many of my competitors post at 48-hours, so as long as I log in when my items expire, I can repost successfully, keeping my auctions at the cheapest.

BFA TSM4 Raw Material String

Whilst I had some spare time tonight, I’ve quickly collected some data from Wowhead, so I could create a TSM4 Raw Material string for Battle for Azeroth. If you’ve not created your own yet, please feel free to use mine. I’ve quickly scanned through and as of yet, I don’t see any issues, but if you see anything wrong, please do let me know!

Here’s what my BFA Raw Materials group looks like…

Be sure to backup your profile before importing, to prevent any importing issues. Once successfully imported, do a /reloadui to save your data. I can’t confirm if this works for TSM3 as I no longer use it.

Link to my Pastebin

I haven’t added any auctioning/shopping operations as the prices are very volatile once Battle for Azeroth begins. I’ve separated the materials, so you can easily assign each material it’s own operation. This is what I do as most of the materials I sell, have different values etc…

Normally, when there’s new content, the materials are very expensive, because people are rushing to max level their professions to get World first achievements. This is a great time to post any materials to the Auction House that you’ve looted, if you don’t intend to level your own professions from the start. The demand will be so high for materials that the prices can be extortionately high, take advantage of this whilst you can!

As the expansion settles, the prices for materials will stabilise. Be sure to check the Auction House periodically, to update your operations accordingly.

Following these tips and you can earn yourself some obscene amounts of gold from the beginning of the expansion.

Over the next few days, I will add the professions too. In the meantime, if Sheyrah releases her strings beforehand, I’d recommend checking hers out instead, as they’re always the best. Keep an eye out on her Twitter, for any future updates.

World of Warcraft Classic & Battle for Azeroth Confirmed!!

Yes…! Blizzard has finally answered the communities desires and have released information regarding World of Warcraft Classic. Blizzard authentic Vanilla servers are finally coming (BACK)! For those that were around in Vanilla, this was excellent news for them for nostalgic purposes. For myself, (who only started playing WoW in later WotLK), this is an opportunity to finally get to experience what Vanilla was like… legitimately!

No confirmation on how Blizzard will create the Classic servers, (i.e. full Vanilla or Vanilla with some of the tweaks through the later expansions). I’m hoping for no heirlooms, no Dungeon finder/LFR and more importantly as a gold maker, proper grinding for gold. Gold was a hard commodity to come across in Vanilla, well, it appeared so, watching a lot of the classic footage on YouTube and I’m looking forward to experiencing that when Classic becomes available to us. At the time of this blog, no time frame was set for release, maybe that will be determined upon Blizzard getting the blades back, they auctioned off… LOL

Here’s the cinematic if you’ve missed it!

As anticipated throughout today, the new expansion World of Warcraft – Battle for Azeroth has now been confirmed! So far we’ve been informed of the new Artifact Medallion (The Heart of Azeroth), return of World PvP and obviously, the new grind to level 120! These are only some of the things mentioned, there’s a lot more information within the video below! I think it’s fair to say, a lot of the community have been yearning for World PvP, I just hope they get it right. PvP as of late has been disastrous, I’d love them to revert back to dedicated PvP gear/stats, and continue to improve the balance between all the classes as fair as possible, it will be a massive improvement if they do.

Fair to say, Bajheera and Swifty are licking their lips with anticipation… 😀

If you’ve not seen the cinematic, then I’ve added a link below, check it out!

It’s early into the night for myself, but I can’t wait for the World of Warcraft – what’s Next panel, happening in the next 45 mins. No doubt a lot of information regarding the above and an  lot more insight into the new expansion. I so can’t wait, it’s fair to say I’m like a kid in a candy store… 😛

Until next time, thanks for reading! For the Horde!
