I Don’t Normally Do Random HC Dungeons, But…

I don’t normally do random HC dungeons, but… Savage satchel of cooperation
on this one occasion of mis-clicking the join que button and noticing that DPS was in high demand, I kept myself in the que. However, this was mainly down to one fact, it was merely the chance to earn a Savage Satchel of Cooperation. Normally these are only available to Healers and tanks, due to the high demand for them, but I was shocked to see DPS were also needed, so I happily obliged…lol.

As you may know, I’m keen to level all my alts to 100 as quick as possible. The downside to this is, that they’re all inadequately geared and wouldn’t even get into a MoP Heroic Dungeon (Sarcasm alert) let alone WoD Heroic Dungeon. Most are geared with Heirlooms and a couple of quest items, but the fact that there’s so much BoA Baleful gear, Empowered Apexis Fragment and most importantly, the chance to get a Medallion of the Legion in this Satchel, it would be madness not to take advantage of this opportunity.

I’m not sure how long this is will last for, but if you’re in the same predicament as myself, I urge you to take advantage aswell. 12 level 100 alts and another 2 on the horizon, these satchels could be a blessing in disguise…lol.

New UI and Clean Up of Addons…

I’ve had a pretty interesting weekend, with the joy of changing my UI and cleaning up my Addons. My previous UI was Elvui. I have used this for almost 2 years and the time had come to freshen it up and look for an alternative. With a number of different UI’s out there, I’ve been fortunate enough to see so many, due to watching many streams. Thankfully, one UI has interested me from the off and i saw it via watching Wowprofitz channel on Twitch. The UI is called SupervillainUI.

Being familiar with the setup of Elvui, setting up SupervillainUI was an absolute breeze due to the similarity of the setup process. Most of the tasks, was making sure the old UI was clean from my computer, limiting any possible issues upon installing the new UI. If you’ve not seen or heard anything of SupervillainUI, basically it’s based around a comic theme hence the title. Click on the link HERE to see the addon in full swing, from the creator.

I’ve also got rid of 70 addons, yes… you read that correctly, 70! Most had become redundant and my pure laziness not to remove them, and just purely deactivate them finally came to an end. I can already see a vast improvement in performance and FPS, not that it was sluggish to start with, but every little help eh?! The only downside to cleaning the addons folder, was the miss-hap of not saving my TSM3 and Auctioneer files that had all my data. Reassuringly, I can get my TSM3 strings that I had pasted, from here. Sadly, no Beancounter data for Auctioneer meant no data from previous scans. *Quietly sulks in the corner*

Anyway, Sunday is the restart of the grind and making gold, please do keep following and hopefully, I can share some fantastic tips with you to help build your gold balances…

Thanks for reading, peace out!

Power leveling Battle Pets with your Garrison Menagerie…

** THIS GUIDE HAS BEEN UPDATED – PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR UPDATED STRATEGY! **

Ever since the powers that be, nerfed power leveling Battle pets from your Garrison’s Menagerie, it’s been a very slow and painful process to level them. Thankfully Blizzard were nice enough to leave one daily for us, to boost our pets. Sadly, it’s only available once every 15 days, so make very good use of it. The daily NPC we’re looking for is Squirt.

Today 17/09/15 Squirt is here, so don’t hang around, go get as many pet battles in with this NPC before 3am strikes and it resets. The reason this NPC is so desired, is that it’s a 2 pet battle, meaning you can power level a third pet. Below is Peelyon’s setup and tactic.

Setup:
2 pet setup to use to make this easier: Fjord Worg Pup (25) abilities Bite, Howl and Dazzling Dance. Blighthawk (25) Infected Claw and Ghostly Bite. 3rd pet is any pet you wish to boost.

Tactic:
Start with Fjord Worg Pup
Move 1 – Dazzling Dance
Move 2 – Howl
Move 3 – Bite
Move 4 – Bite
Move 5 – Bite
(Their pet will die)
Move 6 – Howl
Move 7 – Dazzling Dance
(Fjord pet will die) Select Blighthawk
Move 8 – Ghostly Bite
(They’re pet will die)
Move 9 – SWAP! to boost pet
Move 10 – SWAP! back to Bighthawk
Move 11 – Infected Claw
Move 12 – Ghostly Bite
His pet should die here!

If your pet, or Squirts pet uses an ability, which results in a miss, then we suggest forfeiting the match and restarting. The only time to ignore this, is from moves 10 and onwards or if your pet is level 9 and above. A video from Peelyon showing this tactic in full swing can be seen HERE.

I’ve always purchased battle pets cheap and flip them for huge profits, way before WoD came out, but with this daily, I can now buy pets at level 1 extremely cheap, boost them and sell them for large profit margins. I urge anyone, looking to make a low risk – high reward investment, to try this out. To sweeten this further, once battle pets are caged, you can send these to alts on low population servers for even more profit, as there will be higher demand for them. 1 silver deposit cost to post on the Auction House, again proves this to be a very low risk option with a profitable reward.

I found out about this fantastic tip by watching a stream from a fellow Brit, Peelyon on his Twitch channel. He also has a Youtube channel too! He has level a pet from level 1 to level 25 in 10 minutes, which is an amazing feat.

I don’t boast to have the largest pet collection, but with this amazing tip above, I’m working my way there. Stay tuned for further tips and as ever, share your experiences below.

LootAppraiser

If you havent been fortunate enough to have heard about LootAppraiser until now and you’re an avid farmer like myself, then you’ve been missing out. LootAppraiser in the words of the developer, Wowprofitz “making farming sexy”…lol. The addon simply uses data from your TSM (i.e. DBmarket value) for your item value. This can be changed to what suits you. Click here to see a video regarding the addon by Wowprofitz.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have been able to watch some of his recent streams on Twitch and seen this addon in full swing. Wowprofitz is a well known person to many around the gold blogging scene, but you can also catch him at his Youtube channel and Twitch channel, click on the appropriate links to check him out. Be sure to follow and subscribe to him for future updates and tips.

LootApprasier in my eyes;

Since I downloaded and started using LootAppraiser, I’ve noticed that I don’t have to pay so much attention to the chat log or loot box to see what I’m looting. Instead this marvelous addon, has an alert that pings, when you loot something of value that is above a certain threshold that you’ve set within the addons settings. It will also keep a running total of the gold made through the session and has a nice little stopwatch to track the total time of you current session.

For my settings as an example, I only get notifications on items looted above 1k and that of an uncommon quality or above. So if something is looted for 1k or above and is Green, Rare or Epic quality I will get a notification alerting me of my new found treasure. However, looted grey items or items of no interest will be ignored as such, but the vendor value will still total in the total of gold made in the current session.

It’s important to remember that at this stage, the addon is in Beta and Wowprofitz is always looking to improve the addon further. If it does prove to become better than it already is, then I can see this addon becoming a very important tool for gold farmers in WoW.

Thanks for reading guys and don’t forget to share some love to the developer Wowprofits. Be sure to post your epic loot below!

Level 91 to 100 in 3 Hours

If like myself, you have been fortunate enough to earn your Draenor Pathfinder achievement on your main and have many alts sitting at level 90, you maybe interested in power leveling them to level 100. I don’t boast to have the best or the quickest method, but below I have some ideas or more so tips on how to level them efficiently as possible.

If you don’t have the achievement, you could ask a fellow Guildie to fly you around, alternatively, you may wish to finish the achievement, here’s an extremely good guide from Wowhead.

What you’ll need to assist you.

Addons;
Handynotes
Handynotes_DraenorTreasures
Handynotes_TreasureHunter

Achievements and Items;
Draenor Pathfinder
Heirlooms – most heirlooms will be better than most quest rewards.
Elixir of the Rapid Mind (works up to level 99)
Excess Potion of Accelerated Learning (Purchased from your Garrison for 100 Garrison resources)
Darkmoon Top Hat
obtained via the Darkmoon Faire.

Once you have the addons downloaded and installed, load up WoW and log into the character that you wish to power level. Be sure to obtain as many of the items above as possible. Be aware that as of 14/09/15 all the experience buffs stack, leading to a potential +340% experience boost. You might be lucky to be fully rested too, which will grant you a further boost. Be aware, that when killing rares, if someone joins in on your kill, you will lose a little experience. Try to kill all rares alone when possible.

Open your map to your starting zone this will depend on what Faction you’re representing, Frostfire Ridge (Horde) or Shadowmoon Valley (Alliance). You’ll see many treasure icons, rare spawn locations and bonus objective locations, these are the 3 things we’re concentrating on. Here’s an image of what you’ll likely see upon opening your map. Ignore the fact that I’ve shown Nagrand, this is purely for an example.

handy notes map image

Equip your items, heirlooms, hat and use potions and start aiming for those locations on the map. Dont worry about anything else, just concentrate on the rares, treasures and bonus objectives! Once you’ve leveled and earn level 92, move to the next zone! Below is a guide when to move and where.

Ding 92! move to Gorgrond!
Ding 94! move to Talador!
Ding 96! move to Spires of Arak!
Ding 98! move to Nagrand!

This method, maximises the experience gained from mobs. I’ve heard people go from level 91 to 100 within 6 hours, but this depends solely on what you have above available to you, your motivation to level and how efficient you use the information to you in this guide.

I hope you found this guide helpful, be sure to share your times below, or maybe you have some tips yourself which you’d like to share. Thanks for reading and hit that follow icon if you’ve not done so already.
