The War Creche:
If you find yourself at a loose end and want to earn some Bind on Account Primalist Gear, Untapped Forbidden Knowledge, Sealed Scrolls, Elemental Overflow, or Zskera Vault Keys, check out the World Quest: The War Creche.
For more information, check out today’s blog post!
Where is the War Creche located?
The War Creche is within The Forbidden Reach. You should see a Weekly World Quest highlighted if you open your map. If you have already completed the Quest, you can still participate!
Getting Started:
To make this farm efficient, I suggest opening Group Finder and looking for a raid group looking to complete the World Quest: The War Creche. The mobs you’ll be farming are level 70 elites assembled in packs of 4-5 enemies. I’d urge you to use a class with good AoE, as you’ll need to tag every mob to earn loot for the kill.
Depending on the size of your raid group, these mobs should be easy to defeat. Remember, you can freely exchange any gear you acquire with others in the raid. If you require something specific, don’t hesitate to ask if someone was more fortunate to loot it.
Keep your eyes peeled for Rares too!
Rares:
There are two Rares within the area that is difficult to defeat. Pyrachniss and Warden Entrix. If you’re not in a group or raid, I suggest waiting for others to arrive before starting the encounters.
Pyrachniss:
You can find Pyrachniss on one of the four platforms above the lava in the first room of the War Creche. To reach the Rare, take the wind buff, giving you a slow-fall effect. Leap off the ledge and slowly fall towards the Rare – be careful not to accidentally pull it!
Once you defeat Pyrachniss, leap into the lava and use the teleport in the middle; this will send you back to the entrance of the War Creche.
Warden Entrix:
You’ll find Warden Entrix in the final room of the War Creche. The Rare has many AoE attacks, so be careful of your surroundings. Once you’ve defeated Warden Entrix, take the portal, which will return you to the entrance of the War Creche.
Bind on Account Primalist Gear:
Blizzard incorporated a catch-up mechanic for newly leveled 70 characters in the form of Bind on Account Primalist Gear. You obtain an item level 385 piece of armor (or weapon) when looted and used.
Although you can acquire gear for every armor/weapon slot, several limitations exist. You can only equip one of the rings; however, this isn’t an issue, as you’ll want to obtain the Onyx Annulet. Lastly, there is only one Trinket.
If you’re like me and suffer from poor RNG, you might get hindered from looting your preferred weapon from the Weapon Crate. I had a hell of a time getting two two-handed weapons for my Fury Warrior. My Death Knight also got a lot of one-handed weapons when I was desperate for a two-hander.
It’s also worth noting that obtaining the tokens for a Primalist Neck, Ring, and Weapon Crate is hard to come by. The benefit of being in a raid group increases your chances of someone looting one of these and potentially passing it to you!
Untapped Forbidden Knowledge:
Furthermore, you’ll be pleased to know that the Primalist Bind on Account Gear can be upgraded to item level 395! You’ll need to obtain the item: Untapped Forbidden Knowledge. Sadly, these are not Bind on Account.
Sealed Scrolls:
Four Sealed Scrolls are available, which, when turned into their designated envoy, will reward you with a substantial reputation token that you can mail to your alts. If you have an abundance of Elemental Overflow and nothing to purchase, consider purchasing Azure Scrying Crystal.
Once you use this, you’ll receive a 60-minute buff that increases the chance of looting a Sealed Scroll. The Azure Scrying Crystal will cost 2000 Elemental Overflow, but considering how many you’ll earn in the War Creche, it’s not worth worrying about.
The benefit here is to group up as many mobs as possible, kill them all, and loot at the end. The more mobs you loot, the greater your chance of looting multiple Sealed Scrolls. The buff will end once you loot a Sealed Scroll, hence the emphasis on looting at the end.
Below are the Sealed Scrolls on offer. I’ve added the Faction envoy in brackets.
- Sealed Artifact Scroll (DragonScale Expedition Envoy)
- Sealed Knowledge Scroll (Valdrakken Accord Envoy)
- Sealed Fish Scroll (Iskaara Tuskarr Envoy)
- Sealed Spirit Scroll (Maruuk Centaur Envoy)
Elemental Overflow:
As I’ve mentioned in this post, you’ll earn a lot of Elemental Overflow farming the mobs in the War Creche. Once you’ve purchased the Mount and Companion Pets, there’s no more on offer. Consider purchasing the Azure Scrying Crystal (from Kraxxus) and the Reliquary Scroll of Perception (from Cataloger Daela).
I remind you that the Reliquary Scroll of Perception highlights chests you can open on your mini-map. Check out my previous blog post: Farming Zskera Vault Keys, which explains the benefits of the Reliquary Scroll of Perception.
Zskera Vault Keys:
While farming the War Creche, you will earn a lot of Zskera Vault Keys. Remember, these keys are bind on account; you can send these to your alts!
Artisan Curios:
Lastly, I wanted to inform you that Artisan Curos drop from the mobs within the War Creche. Although the drop rates are low, the number of mobs you defeat can make the farm efficient.
If you have Professions, you can obtain Artisan Curios to aid you in summoning a special Rare.
