Elemental Overflow:
If you’ve been doing a lot of farming within The Forbidden Reach or completed many of the activities associated with the Primal Storm Events, you would’ve collected a lot of Elemental Overflow. Today’s blog post covers what items to buy with your Elemental Overflow and any leftovers shuffled into raw gold.

Farming Elemental Overflow:
For those unsure of the best place to farm (or need) Elemental Overflow, may I direct you to my previous blog post: Farming: The War Creche. Using the Looking for Group (LFG) tool, you can join Raids farming the mobs within The War Creche on The Forbidden Reach.
The farming groups are mainly created to complete the World Quest: The War Creche efficiently. I usually join them, complete the World Quest and stick around to continue farming. Ensure you have a class with good AoE, as you’ll need to guarantee you tag the mobs to earn credit for loot.
This method is excellent for obtaining Primalist Gear, Untapped Forbidden Knowledge, Sealed Scrolls, Elemental Overflow, Artisan Curios, and Zskera Vault Keys.
Items of Interest:
Before I delve into the Elemental Overflow Shuffle in greater detail, may I take this opportunity to remind you of the items available that may interest you? These items vary from Mounts, Companion Pets, Transmog, a Toy, and potential upgrades to your current weapon.
If you have purchased all the items of interest, you can scroll down the page and skip straight to the raw gold shuffle!
Mounts:
There are three Mounts available, and they are as follows.
Item | Amount | Vendor |
Noble Bruffalon | 100,000 Elemental Overflow | Storykeeper Ashekh |
Skyskin Hornstrider | 150 Essence of the Storm + 3,000 Elemental Overflow | Brendormi |
Stormhide Salamnther | 2,000 Elemental Overflow | Mythressa |
Companion Pets:
We have four Companion Pets available to us. While these are Bind on Pickup, we can learn three, cage them into Battle Pets, and post them at the Auction House. Sadly, you can’t cage the Time-Lost Vorquin Foal!
The Time-Lost Vorquin Foal will cost you 105 Essence of the Storm + 1,500 Elemental Overflow and is available from Brendormi.
Below are the Companion Pets you can cage and post to the Auction House. Included is the Region’s Median Value (via Oribos Exchange). For a precise valuation of the Battle Pet on your realm, input your Realm and Battle Pet at Oribos Exchange. The Battle Pets may be more profitable than the Shuffle!
Item | Amount | Vendor | U.S. Gold Value | E.U. Gold Value |
Buckie | 25,000 Elemental Overflow | Turik | 10500g 00s | 12000g 00s |
Ghostflame | 1,000 Elemental Overflow | Mythressa | 2100g 00s | 1100g 00s |
Stormie | 1,000 Elemental Overflow | Mythressa | 1900g 00s | 1500g 00s |
Transmog (Cosmetic):
You can purchase the following Cosmetic items from Treysh for 5,000 Elemental Overflow each.
- Bulwark of the Forbidden Reach
- Journal of the Forbidden Reach
- Valdrakken Pocketknife
- Dragonscale Expeditioner’s Rifle
- Morqut Club
- Valdrakken Talons
- Maruuk Maul
Toy:
The Toy: Chasing Storm is available from Brendormi and will cost 75 Essence of the Storm + 1,200 Elemental Overflow.
Weapon Upgrades:
If you’ve been farming the Primal Storm Events or The Forbidden Reach for some time, you should have enough Primalist Gear to upgrade your current gear. However, with RNG a sticking point when opening a Primalist Weapon Crate for One-Hand or Two-Hand Weapons, it may be beneficial to purchase the weapon you want.
While you redeem the weapon you desire, the only downside to this method is that you’ll need to have Storm Sigils to upgrade the weapon(s) to level 2. You’ll need 7 Storm Sigil to upgrade a One-Handed weapon (as you’ll need to upgrade two weapons), whereas a Two-Hander will require 14 Storm Sigil to upgrade.
Scrolls:
There are two useful scrolls that I’ve mentioned in previous blog posts that may be beneficial to you depending on your current farming objectives. Both of them will require 2,000 Elemental Overflow to purchase.
Azure Scrying Crystal is a scroll you can purchase from Kraxxus; once used, it will give you a buff that increases the chance of looting a Sealed Scroll. While this buff lasts 60 minutes, the buff will end once you loot a Sealed Scroll.
Remember, when looting, try to loot large packs, as you have an increased chance to loot multiple Sealed Scrolls within one loot window; this is ultimately where the Azure Scrying Crystal is of value! If you have the space within your inventory, take a couple of the Azure Scrying Crystals to refresh the buff when it expires!
The Reliquary Scroll of Perception highlights lootable chests on your mini-map for 60 minutes. These chests have a chance to contain Sealed Scrolls and Zskera Vault Keys. You can purchase this scroll from Cataloger Daela.
The Elemental Overflow Shuffle:
Before I start, I wanted to inform you that I do not take credit for this shuffle; this is something already highlighted within the gold-making community, and merely highlighting it for those unaware.
Check out the Apprentice Primal Vendor: Mythressa; you’ll find her on The Forbidden Reach and Valdrakken. She sells several pieces of gear and weapons. We’re interested in the One-Hand Shiv of Raging Tempests.
The weapon will cost us 400 Elemental Overflow, but we can vendor the item for 94g 81s. For example, if we have 40,000 Elemental Overflow and purchase 100 Shiv of Raging Tempests, we’ll make 9,481 gold!
However, if you’re confident you can sell Battle Pets in your realm(s), you might experience better returns selling Battle Pets instead. If you skipped the Companion Pets section above, I suggest checking it out.
