Holiday Pets

Anyone looking to dip their fingers into the pet market, will be interested to know a few tips regarding holiday pets. Holiday pets can be a real gold maker and knowing when to buy and sell them can make you an absolute mint… hell, if anyone would know, it’s me! What an ideal time to create this post, with Hallow’s End here and the Feast of Winter Veil on the horizon.

It’s safe to say, if the price is right, you can buy a holiday pet at any given time, but the prime time is when the event is available, as the market is always flooded with them. With TSM3, I can set up a group and assign pets to a set price, so when I make searches, it will find a pet within that price source and then I have the decision whether to buy it or not.  As ever, each server will have its own price for any given holiday pet. It’s down to your ability to find out what’s the best price and then buy up any cheap pets that you think will net you a profit.

What we want to do, is buy up these pets and store them. You can either learn them and keep them in your collection, or simply cage them and store in your Bank or Guild Bank. Essentially, we’re looking at stocking these up and waiting for the supply to die down, then once there’s a demand, we then start to sell them. This will sometimes vary from a couple of Weeks to a couple of Months, but the longer the better.

Here’s an example of holiday pets to buy and pets to ignore, this Hallow’s End.

Buy:
Widget the Departed
Feline Familiar
Cursed Birman

Ignore:
Sinister Squashling

The reason I ignore the Sinister Squashling, is there’s just so many of them, that they never really die down from the Auction House meaning that there’s never ever any demand for them. They also drop from the Headless Horseman. However, the previous 3 pets are always in demand. The Feline Familiar is needed for an achievement, [Crazy for Cats] so will always be wanted. The Cursed Birman and Widget the Departed are very good sellers and at level 25, could net you around the 15k-20k mark depending on your server. These are only obtained via the Tricky Treat vendor during Hallow’s End for 150 tricky Treats.

The best way to get these treats, is doing The Headless Horseman daily Dungeon and flying to all the Candy Buckets. There are 129 Candy Buckets scattered around and each one will offer you between 0-3 Treats. I managed to get 241 after looting them all. You might get lucky and get 300+ thus getting you 2 pets, but it depends if the RNG gods are looking down on you…lol.

Remember, if you buy level 1 pets, you can power level them to level 22 in 6 minutes or level 25 in 10 minutes, battling Squirt from your Level 3 Menagerie. Squirt is available every 15 days. Read my post HERE for a guide on power leveling with Squirt.

I hope you found this post helpful. If you have any questions, please post below and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Good luck!

The Secrets of the Darkmoon Faire

Many people within World of Warcraft will not be familliar with this strategy, but Ive been using it to my advantage for as long as I can remember and I have amassed atleast 45% of my gold balance from doing it. Now this is pretty limited, as you can only get the items during the the Darkmoon Faire.

Now, I can hear you asking, what is this big secret? well… it’s the opportunity to purchase Replica transmog items, from the vendor Baruma for a measly amount of Darkmoon Prize Tickets. The important part of this strategy, is to buy Darkmoon Quest Items, which Ive listed below this paragraph for you, once these are turned in, you will get a small amount of gold or experience (depending on your level) and more importantly the Darkmoon prize tickets. Do this on all your alts too, like I do. Remember, the tickets are BoP, but once you’ve bought your Replica transmog items, they’re BoE and tradable.

Darkmoon Quest Items:
Monstrous Egg
Fallen Adventurer’s Journal
Banner of the Fallen
Captured Insignia
Imbued Crystal
Mysterious Grimoire
Ornate Weapon
Soothsayer’s Runes
A Treatise on Strategy

TSM import string:
71635,71636,71637,71638,71715,71716,71951,71952,71953

You can buy each of the quest items from the Auction House for as little as 10g and as much as 500g for the higher demand items, you may even prefer to farm them. If this is the case, check the links out on the items above and see where they drop from. Personally, I buy them off the Auction House about 2 weeks before the Darkmoon Faire comes, as they maybe cheaper, than when it’s in Town. It’s a small amount of gold compared to what you’ll make on the Replica transmog items you sell. Dont forget to do the daily’s in the area too, whether it’s profession daily’s or the game daily’s for extra tickets, every little helps…

Quest – Silas’ Secret Stash:
As well as the Darkmoon Quest items above, you can also complete a quest called Silas’ Secret Stash. This can only be completed once on any one character and doesn’t reset! This quest costs 100  Darkmoon Daggermaw and you can buy this quest from the vendor Galissa Sundew at co-ords [52.88]. Once you have started the quest, you’ll notice that you’ve been given a set of clues and some treasure to find.

I’ve added a video below, from a very good streamer called oldbess. He does many awesome videos, helping his viewers make gold in Warcraft. Be sure to leave some feedback and a like if you found his video on this quest helpful.

The Replica Gear:
Instead of posting links for every Replica item available, I will instead link every Replica set, you can go through the page to see the individual items. You will also notice the item it’s replicating.

Replica Sets:

Cloth
Dreadmist Raiment
Deathmist Raiment
Magister’s Regalia
Sorcerer’s Regalia
Vestments of the Devout
Vestments of the Virtuous

Leather
Shadowcraft Armor
Darkmantle Armor
Wildheart Raiment
Feralheart Raiment

Mail
Beaststalker Armor
Beastmaster Armor
The Elements
The Five Thunders

Plate
Battlegear of Heroism
Battlegear of Valor
Lightforge Armor
Soulforge Armor

I  have made a Replica Transmog Import String for TSM which you can find HERE.

If you’re confident that you can get these items cheaper on the Auction House, feel free to purchase them to flip. I can sell Replica gear between 20-30k at the moment, so I’m happy to buy at 10k to guarantee a healthy flip.

Sales:
Each item within each set will be worth considerably more than another, this is where you’ll have the task to check your Auction House and see what the prices are and then purchase the best item that will maximise your profit.  Below are a couple of screenshots I took today showing what sales you could make, by investing in a small amount of gold and a little time.

Darkmantle spaulders SOLD                      Darkmantle gloves SOLD

Darkmantle cap SOLD                    Darkmantle boots SOLD
You can find further images of my Replica Transmog sales HERE or simply check out my Facebook page or Twitter feed for recent sales.

I hope you found this post interesting, please do post questions if you have any, but more importantly, please feel free to share your sales too…

Power leveling Battle Pets with your Garrison Menagerie…

** THIS GUIDE HAS BEEN UPDATED – PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR UPDATED STRATEGY! **

Ever since the powers that be, nerfed power leveling Battle pets from your Garrison’s Menagerie, it’s been a very slow and painful process to level them. Thankfully Blizzard were nice enough to leave one daily for us, to boost our pets. Sadly, it’s only available once every 15 days, so make very good use of it. The daily NPC we’re looking for is Squirt.

Today 17/09/15 Squirt is here, so don’t hang around, go get as many pet battles in with this NPC before 3am strikes and it resets. The reason this NPC is so desired, is that it’s a 2 pet battle, meaning you can power level a third pet. Below is Peelyon’s setup and tactic.

Setup:
2 pet setup to use to make this easier: Fjord Worg Pup (25) abilities Bite, Howl and Dazzling Dance. Blighthawk (25) Infected Claw and Ghostly Bite. 3rd pet is any pet you wish to boost.

Tactic:
Start with Fjord Worg Pup
Move 1 – Dazzling Dance
Move 2 – Howl
Move 3 – Bite
Move 4 – Bite
Move 5 – Bite
(Their pet will die)
Move 6 – Howl
Move 7 – Dazzling Dance
(Fjord pet will die) Select Blighthawk
Move 8 – Ghostly Bite
(They’re pet will die)
Move 9 – SWAP! to boost pet
Move 10 – SWAP! back to Bighthawk
Move 11 – Infected Claw
Move 12 – Ghostly Bite
His pet should die here!

If your pet, or Squirts pet uses an ability, which results in a miss, then we suggest forfeiting the match and restarting. The only time to ignore this, is from moves 10 and onwards or if your pet is level 9 and above. A video from Peelyon showing this tactic in full swing can be seen HERE.

I’ve always purchased battle pets cheap and flip them for huge profits, way before WoD came out, but with this daily, I can now buy pets at level 1 extremely cheap, boost them and sell them for large profit margins. I urge anyone, looking to make a low risk – high reward investment, to try this out. To sweeten this further, once battle pets are caged, you can send these to alts on low population servers for even more profit, as there will be higher demand for them. 1 silver deposit cost to post on the Auction House, again proves this to be a very low risk option with a profitable reward.

I found out about this fantastic tip by watching a stream from a fellow Brit, Peelyon on his Twitch channel. He also has a Youtube channel too! He has level a pet from level 1 to level 25 in 10 minutes, which is an amazing feat.

I don’t boast to have the largest pet collection, but with this amazing tip above, I’m working my way there. Stay tuned for further tips and as ever, share your experiences below.

Level 91 to 100 in 3 Hours

If like myself, you have been fortunate enough to earn your Draenor Pathfinder achievement on your main and have many alts sitting at level 90, you maybe interested in power leveling them to level 100. I don’t boast to have the best or the quickest method, but below I have some ideas or more so tips on how to level them efficiently as possible.

If you don’t have the achievement, you could ask a fellow Guildie to fly you around, alternatively, you may wish to finish the achievement, here’s an extremely good guide from Wowhead.

What you’ll need to assist you.

Addons;
Handynotes
Handynotes_DraenorTreasures
Handynotes_TreasureHunter

Achievements and Items;
Draenor Pathfinder
Heirlooms – most heirlooms will be better than most quest rewards.
Elixir of the Rapid Mind (works up to level 99)
Excess Potion of Accelerated Learning (Purchased from your Garrison for 100 Garrison resources)
Darkmoon Top Hat
obtained via the Darkmoon Faire.

Once you have the addons downloaded and installed, load up WoW and log into the character that you wish to power level. Be sure to obtain as many of the items above as possible. Be aware that as of 14/09/15 all the experience buffs stack, leading to a potential +340% experience boost. You might be lucky to be fully rested too, which will grant you a further boost. Be aware, that when killing rares, if someone joins in on your kill, you will lose a little experience. Try to kill all rares alone when possible.

Open your map to your starting zone this will depend on what Faction you’re representing, Frostfire Ridge (Horde) or Shadowmoon Valley (Alliance). You’ll see many treasure icons, rare spawn locations and bonus objective locations, these are the 3 things we’re concentrating on. Here’s an image of what you’ll likely see upon opening your map. Ignore the fact that I’ve shown Nagrand, this is purely for an example.

handy notes map image

Equip your items, heirlooms, hat and use potions and start aiming for those locations on the map. Dont worry about anything else, just concentrate on the rares, treasures and bonus objectives! Once you’ve leveled and earn level 92, move to the next zone! Below is a guide when to move and where.

Ding 92! move to Gorgrond!
Ding 94! move to Talador!
Ding 96! move to Spires of Arak!
Ding 98! move to Nagrand!

This method, maximises the experience gained from mobs. I’ve heard people go from level 91 to 100 within 6 hours, but this depends solely on what you have above available to you, your motivation to level and how efficient you use the information to you in this guide.

I hope you found this guide helpful, be sure to share your times below, or maybe you have some tips yourself which you’d like to share. Thanks for reading and hit that follow icon if you’ve not done so already.

Reset Instance Macro…

That long and tedious moment, when you exit an instance and need to right-click your portrait or player frame to reset all instances, well not anymore! With this handy little macro, you can cut down all that time, concentrating on getting back into the instance and continue your farming.

Open your macro tab, either by entering in chat /m or /macro

Please create a new macro, and add whatever icon you wish, that will help you quickly pick it out from your action bar and add the following script to it.

/script ResetInstances();

Once you’ve input the script, save it. Add the new macro to your action bar and viola; you’re good to go! Run an instance or clear the trash, exit and click on the macro to promptly re-enter, rinse and repeat.

Please remember in retail World of Warcraft; there is a ten instance limit per hour, if you exceed this, you’ll be restricted entry into another instance until this time has passed.

I hope you found this post informative, until next time, thanks for reading!

No More Limited Items from a Vendor…

A cracking little tip for you today. Ever got disappointed, when you find out that an item you need, can be purchased from a vendor, only to realise it’s a limited stock item and already been purchased by someone. Normally a limited stock item has a 12 hour reset, but luckily for you, I have managed to find an alternative. With the joy of cross realm, we have the chance to bounce across realms, thus meaning, our chance of obtaining our item sooner, is incredibly higher.

What you’ll need to do, to make this option achievable, is click on the link for this addon, Cross Realm Assist. This addon can be downloaded from Curse.com. Simply shut down World of Warcraft (WoW) if your currently playing, go to Curse, download the addon and install it to your WoW directory. Once completed, re-log back into WoW and viola.

Once logged in, check for the Cross Realm Assist icon on your mini map, open it up and opt for Quick Join. This will let you join a group in Premade Groups that has auto accept enabled. Once you’re in the group, you’ll notice you’ve changed realm too. Keep leaving and joining new realms until the vendor you’re at, has the item you require. Make sure you close the vendor tab upon leaving group, or when you join another realm, the vendor tab wont refresh.

The Manual Join option to find a realm is a good option too and easy to understand. I try to concentrate on joining Kazzak groups that have a lot of people in, so you don’t get noticed easily, for realm hoping. Many people in the game dis-like realm hoppers, but that’s their issue for having auto accept enabled.

Good luck and if you have any questions or alternative ideas, be sure to post them below. Thanks for reading!

Draenic Philosopher’s Stone Shuffle

Welcome to my Draenic Philosopher’s Stone shuffle guide. Here I will try and advise you on how to make some guarenteed profit by following this easy step by step guide. A profession shuffle is crafting an item, to maximise materials from either disenchanting, prospecting it or by selling the craft to a vendor for a profit.

Let’s get started!

Item: Draenic Philosopher’s Stone

First off, make sure you have the ability to craft this item. If not, you can simply purchase the recipe from Albert de Hyde or Joshua Alvarez (Horde) or Katherine Joplin or Mary Kearie (Alliance) for one  Secrets of Draenor Alchemy. You can craft one of these once per day, via your profession.

Mats:
 Alchemical Catalyst x5
 True Iron Ore x1

You can either craft these items yourself, or simply purchase them from the Auction House. Remember, when purchasing materials from the Auction House, the price you pay for each item, will reflect on your prfoit at the end of the shuffle, so always bear that in mind.

The  Draenic Philosopher’s Stone sells for 25g 31s 47c each and there’s no crafting limit. As long as the mats cost for example 20g in total, we set to make just over 5g in profit. So you’re probably thinking, is that it, 5g! Well… imagine buying enough mats to craft 1000x Draenic Philosopher’s Stone, like I currently have in my inventory. Now that 5g doesn’t look too bad now, does it? as this would total 5.000g once crafted and sold to a vendor.

There are many other profession shuffles in Jewelcrafting, Enchanting and Tailoring, simply find the one that makes the most profit for you. Check out my future guides for tips and tricks.

Moving Excess Gold with a Character Transfer

GoldBefore I start, I urge you not to get sucked into trading gold from realm to realm, this obviously has so many risks, far greater than any of the tips I have below. Dont fall victim to the scammers that are already ruining this game!

So you’ve dug deep into your pocket and opted to do a Character Transfer from one realm to another, well unless you’ve been fortunate and have been offered the Free Character migration, lucky you…lol.

With any character transfer paid or for free, there are restrictions in place and most notably are the limits of Gold transferred. Most would bypass this restriction altogether and opt for a Guild Transfer instead, as you can transfer gold cap (999.999.99), using a Guild Bank, but many are put off by it due to the price. Not only this, but you can have up to 8 blank slot to transfer all your belonging too.

Sadly, with the character transfer, the limit is significantly less, depending on your level. Here’s a run down of the limits per level.

Level (10-30) 300g
Level (31-50) 1.000g
Level (51-70) 5.000g
Level (71-80) 20.000g
Level (81-100) 50.000g

So, for example, were level 100 and currently sitting with 100.000g making us 50.000g above the limit, how can we get this gold across, without flagging our transfer with issues. Here’s 2 options I’ve used and have advised others to do in the past.

Garrison Recipes:
This is in my eyes is the safest way, its by purchasing the Garrison recipes. These are the recipes you can buy from Rezlak (Horde) or Sparz Boltwist (Alliance) for as little as 750g to a maximum of 1.500g each. You will need a lot of bag space, as potentially, you’ll need to buy about 33-34 recipes at 1.500g each and they don’t stack.

Once your transfer is complete, simply visit any vendor and sell the recipes. They will sell for the exact price you paid for them. What’s better, is there is no time limit. So this is an excellent option risk free, well unless you accidentally delete them, but I doubt you’ll do that!

Battle Pets:
This will take a little more homework, hence why it’s a little more riskier, but if you calculate it well, there will be no hitches. Simply go to The Undermine Journal and find the realm you’re looking to transfer to. Now go to the Auction House and look at the Battle Pets available. Cross reference any battle Pets that interest you and see what the difference is. If you see any pets that will make a good profit, then simply buy them and learn them. Remember, you can only have a maximum of 3 of any pet learnt. Anymore than the 3 and they will take up bag space.

If all fails and you can’t make any profit, you can always cut your losses and sell for cost. You’ll lose a small amount of gold, to the Auction House cut. I very much doubt you’ll struggle though, unless you made a mistake on the pets you purchased. Make sure you note down your purchases, prices etc. Notepad is a godsend for this or you may prefer Excel, each to their own.

Anyway, I hope these tips serve you well and help get that gold across, without paying the extra cash for a Guild Transfer. If you have any tips you’d like to share, or liked this post, please do share your comments below and subscribe.
