Patch 6.2.3 coming on 17.11.15

As informed a couple of weeks ago, Blizzard was implementing a patch onto the PTR (6.2.3), to give us some content. Sadly, this is likely to be our last installment until Legion, but I’m sure you’d agree with the old adage “Something is better than nothing” is well suited for this patch. The release of the patch will hit live tomorrow, Tuesday 17th November (Wednesday 18th November [EU]).

If you’ve missed the news about Patch 6.2.3, and want to know whats coming, then fear not, here’s a link to Wowheads Patch 6.2.3 Survival Guide.

Although I’m fully aware that this is nothing more than a filler patch to occupy us till the release of Legion, I still appreciate the fact that Blizzard were good enough to give us something. I’m looking forward to the new Cataclysm Timewalking Dungeons and to further boost my gear, thanks to the return of the Valor system.

As you’ll know, I don’t raid, due to time restrictions, but I will in time, be looking at purchasing a boost for HC or Mythic Archimonde. At the moment, the 80k-100k for a spot, seems a little steep, especially, when you only want the boost, for the new ilvl 800 Heirloom Trinket. Either way, I’m happy to wait it out. History shows us that the closer you get to a new expansion, the lower the price goes down.

Cya in-game guys and as ever, thank you for reading!

Warcraft – Release date and trailer

Finally, the news all World of Warcraft fans have been waiting for with anticipation! The long-awaited release date of Warcraft has been confirmed for… 10th June 2016.

They’ve also confirmed the date for the official trailer of Warcraft for the 6th November 2015 (4 days from today). Anyone who hasn’t gathered yet, that is also the opening day of BlizzCon, so no need to ask yourself, what will headline the first day.

I cannot wait for the trailer, let alone the movie. I was excited just to watch the recent Star Wars trailer, let alone Warcraft. With my interest in World of Warcraft, I’m sincerely hoping that Warcraft is a success. It will have a dramatic effect on subscriptions on the game and determine whether they release another movie in the future.

Fiery Warhorse’s Reins finally looted!

I don’t even want to comprehend how many runs it’s taken me, but tonight, whilst most of you are waiting in anticipation for the Star Wars trailer, I’ve finally managed to loot the Fiery Warhorse’s Reins from Karazhan.

Karazhan, was such an awesome raid back in The Burning Crusade, but if I’m entirely honest, the only thing that has kept me coming back after all these years, was purely for the mount and thankfully, I don’t need to return anymore. I hope you like the screenshot. If you’re farming it, keep going, it will drop!

Good luck!

No more Karazhan

Mythic Dungeon Level 110 Heirloom Trinkets

Following on from my post yesterday regarding Patch 6.2.3 Preview, something I missed, was the news of a Heirloom Trinkets which scales to level 110.

If you remember towards the end of the last expansion of Mists of Pandaria (MoP), when we had to defeat Garrosh Hellscream in the Siege of Orgrimmar, we had a 100% chance to acquire a heirloom weapon for our selected class/spec that scaled up to level 100, to help level within Warlords of Draenor (WoD). Well this time, in a bid to help level when Legion falls, we’ll have trinkets which will scale up to level 110. The trinkets will have a chance to drop from running WoD Mythic Dungeons.

Guilds were constantly selling boosts for Garrosh Hellscream in the last expansion, due to the high demand for the heirloom weapons. However at this early stage, it’s unclear of the drop rate for the trinket, but if it turns out to be another 100% drop rate, then don’t be surprised to see a flood of trade chat messages, looking to sell boosts to people desperate enough to get their hands on one.

You’ll also notice that the trinkets are ilevel 715 at level 100 and go to a maximum ilevel 800 at level 110! I think it’s also too early, to question whether they’re good enough to out do any of the trinkets you may already have, but suppose that knuckles down to what you have already. Without doubt this is an ideal opportunity for a low geared alt and when you start levelling in legion.

Loot Specialisation:
Be careful of your loot specialisation when running a Mythic dungeon. If you’re fortunate enough to earn one of the trinkets below, you will earn a trinket for your specialisation that you have chosen. Simply right click your avatar/player frame and under loot options, change your specialisation.

The Trinkets:
Judgement of the Naaru
Gronntooth War Horn
Orb of Voidsight
Infallible Tracking Charm
Purified Shard of the Third Moon

Server Hop or Cross Realm Assist:
If you’re struggling to find groups to complete a Mythic dungeon, make sure you download one of these addons called Server Hop or Cross Realm Assist. These are fantastic addons, that help you to find groups. I use these to find groups for Mythic dungeons or my weekly Kazzak kill. Be aware of restrictions to most groups, i.e. some may have ilevel restrictions to guarantee you’re well geared and can assist your team mates in battle. Be sure to read any tactics or ask before you start. People appreciate someone asking if they don’t know, than just jump in and wipe and it’s you’re fault for not asking or reading up.

Remember, this has only recently been added to PTR so could be subject to change at anytime. Be sure to check out Wowhead.com for updated information regarding the trinkets.

Patch 6.2.3 Preview

patch 6.2.3 netherdrake

WOW! just look at that mount! Wowhead have just informed us all, that Patch 6.2.3 will be hitting the PTR very soon and without doubt the highlight for me, is the news of this mount, The Infinite Timereaver. With the emergence of Cataclysm Timewalking Dungeons, Blizzard have made this mount available via a RARE drop from any Boss within a Cataclysm Timewalking Dungeon.

However, some maybe upset to realise that the long-awaited mount, the Grove Warden, will be a quest reward, tied into defeating Heroic/Mythic Archimonde. If you’re not a regular raider like myself, and come to a point where you save up to pay for a boost, do expect to find the prices hike up, when this patch is finally gets released… but it’s well worth it in my opinion.

And in short, Valor Points and Item Upgrades are returning and finally, Pit of Saron will be included to WotLK Timewalking Dungeon and Magisters’ Terrace will be added to TBC Timewalking Dungeon.

Anyway, checkout Wowhead HERE for the full details…

The Transmog Market…

The transmog market can be a fickle market at times, but can net you a vast amount of gold, if you put the time and effort in to it, oh and not forgetting, you have to be very VERY patient. When I first started dabbling in transmog I was on a very high populated server called Draenor and the competition was rife and at times, it did look somewhat daunting, with the prospect of having over a 1000 items, always getting undercut and needing to constantly repost to see any return on investment.

Thankfully since the emergence of Warlords of Draenor and my recent move to a smaller populated server, I have seen some very encouraging signs on my transmog sales. It’s been without doubt a very slow process to rebuild my transmog stock, but the statistics I’ve seen from my TSM3 accounting summary shows that the hard work is starting to pay off. My stock at the time of writing this, consists of approximately 600-650 items, but I’m looking to get somewhere around the 1250+ mark to see a greater variety on the Auction House and obviously a further increase in sales.

Below is a copy of my sales summary for the last 90 days.

Transmog sales summary

If you’ve seen my previous posts, you’ll notice I tend to do a lot of farming for my Transmog items. I mostly run AQ20, AQ40, Uldaman, Zul’Farrak and a number of others. You can also get a lot of transmog from the Salvage Yard, which you can get via your Garrison, I have 7 level 3 Salvage Yards, so I’m constantly churning out transmog on a daily basis. It’s a bit tedious at times, but worth it when you see the results.

More recently, you will have seen me post regarding the Darkmoon Faire too, this is a fantastic opportunity to get some very desirable Replica transmog items and can net you a serious amount of gold, anywhere as little as 4k to as high as 25k, depending on your server. If you missed my post, please do read it HERE, you can make an absolute mint, if you take the time to read it and implement it.

Please do remember, the transmog market is an extremely slow market. So don’t expect an overnight sale as soon as you dip your toes in the market. The more items you post, the more chances of selling something. Start small and work your way up and always post your items for 12 hours, until you start getting a feel for the market on your realm. I’ve been on this realm for almost 3 Months and have only just started posting at 48 hours as I’m quietly confident, that i can cover the posting costs and the competition is low. Again, this differs from realm to realm.

Anyway, thanks for reading, if you have any questions, drop me a line below and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Until next time, good luck and happy farming!

I Don’t Normally Do Random HC Dungeons, But…

I don’t normally do random HC dungeons, but… Savage satchel of cooperation
on this one occasion of mis-clicking the join que button and noticing that DPS was in high demand, I kept myself in the que. However, this was mainly down to one fact, it was merely the chance to earn a Savage Satchel of Cooperation. Normally these are only available to Healers and tanks, due to the high demand for them, but I was shocked to see DPS were also needed, so I happily obliged…lol.

As you may know, I’m keen to level all my alts to 100 as quick as possible. The downside to this is, that they’re all inadequately geared and wouldn’t even get into a MoP Heroic Dungeon (Sarcasm alert) let alone WoD Heroic Dungeon. Most are geared with Heirlooms and a couple of quest items, but the fact that there’s so much BoA Baleful gear, Empowered Apexis Fragment and most importantly, the chance to get a Medallion of the Legion in this Satchel, it would be madness not to take advantage of this opportunity.

I’m not sure how long this is will last for, but if you’re in the same predicament as myself, I urge you to take advantage aswell. 12 level 100 alts and another 2 on the horizon, these satchels could be a blessing in disguise…lol.

New UI and Clean Up of Addons…

I’ve had a pretty interesting weekend, with the joy of changing my UI and cleaning up my Addons. My previous UI was Elvui. I have used this for almost 2 years and the time had come to freshen it up and look for an alternative. With a number of different UI’s out there, I’ve been fortunate enough to see so many, due to watching many streams. Thankfully, one UI has interested me from the off and i saw it via watching Wowprofitz channel on Twitch. The UI is called SupervillainUI.

Being familiar with the setup of Elvui, setting up SupervillainUI was an absolute breeze due to the similarity of the setup process. Most of the tasks, was making sure the old UI was clean from my computer, limiting any possible issues upon installing the new UI. If you’ve not seen or heard anything of SupervillainUI, basically it’s based around a comic theme hence the title. Click on the link HERE to see the addon in full swing, from the creator.

I’ve also got rid of 70 addons, yes… you read that correctly, 70! Most had become redundant and my pure laziness not to remove them, and just purely deactivate them finally came to an end. I can already see a vast improvement in performance and FPS, not that it was sluggish to start with, but every little help eh?! The only downside to cleaning the addons folder, was the miss-hap of not saving my TSM3 and Auctioneer files that had all my data. Reassuringly, I can get my TSM3 strings that I had pasted, from here. Sadly, no Beancounter data for Auctioneer meant no data from previous scans. *Quietly sulks in the corner*

Anyway, Sunday is the restart of the grind and making gold, please do keep following and hopefully, I can share some fantastic tips with you to help build your gold balances…

Thanks for reading, peace out!
