Peelyon’s Updated Squirt Power Leveling Strategy

If you’re not following Peelyon on Twitter already, why not?! If you’ve got any aspirations in power leveling your Battle Pets from level 1-25 in the quickest and efficient time possible, then you need to be following Peelyon and be updated with the best battle pet guides and strategies out there. If you’re on EU like ourselves, you will know that today (29.02.16) is the Squirt Menagerie daily from your Garrison Menagerie. Squirt is available to you, for one day, every 15 days, so it’s imperitive that you take advantage of this.

If you’ve seen my previous post regarding Peelyon’s previous strategy with the Worg Pup and Blighthawk, you’ll know it relied heavilly on RNG, meaning, if you experienced a miss etc, it was very likely, that you’d have to forfeit and try again. However, this new strategy he’s created is simplified further and is now a guarenteed 100% win! He now uses two different rare pets, Enchanted Broom and Weebomination.

Outland Timewalking Dungeon Event 25-02-16

This weeks event is the Outland Timewalking Dungeon Event and means our battles and foes lie in the depths of The Burning Crusade (TBC) expansion. You’d probably be wondering what’s the point to this blog post. Well wonder no more, as I explain a little trick that’s been doing the rounds recently and it involves minipulating the mechanic of scaling down your gear. As the scaling down is very difficult for Blizzard to get exactly spot on, people have found that it’s benficial to grind the Best in Slot (BiS) gear for TBC to prevent the need for the mechanic altogether, and with an extra emphasis on taking advantage of the extra gem slots.

We as Goblins can profit from this, because if you had a BiS chest from Hellfire Citadel Warlords of Draenor (WoD) with one gem slot, which was then scaled down, the gem value would be [example] 1 x +10 of any primary stat, whereas if you were fortunate to have a BiS chest from Sunwell (TBC), with 3 x +10 of any primary stat, already you’ve boosted +20 of your primary stat and that’s just the start of things. This is a fantastic opportunity, to get out those old TBC recipes or crafts as the demand increases for them.

Ive already seen an increase in sales for Crimson Spinel cuts within Jewelcrafting and sure there would be an increase in sales for Enchants etc. We’re barely into the first day of the event and the profits are rolling in. I’m sure if you scoure the internet, there will be better writeups for this tactic, but this blog post is solely for the aim of informing you of this crafting opportunity. This tactic will work on any Timewalking Dungeon Event, so be sure to start stocking up on other gems, enchants etc if you havent already!

Fishing up the Sea Turtle via the Naval Missions

Yes… you read the title of this blog correctly, it’s possible to fish up the Sea Turtle via your Naval Missions. Simply attach a  Tuskarr Fishing Net to your ships and if you’re lucky, you may fish it up without the need to literally fish it up yourself.

I’d suggest placing the Tuskarr Fishing Net on your Transport Ship, one that you’d send out on Oil Missions. You can purchase the nets for 500 Garrison Resources and they’re available from Kronk Rustspark, Frostfire Ridge or Salty Jorren, Shadowmoon Valley.

If you dont have the Tuskarr fishing net unlocked yet, then you must complete the reputation requirement, to buy this recipe from the vendor. If you’re Alliance, you must earn Honored reputation with the Hand of the Prophet. For Horde players, you must earn Honored reputation with the Vol’jin’s Headhunters. The recipe will cost you 500g.

New Markets

Good afternoon guys, as you’ll likely know by now, I have recently transferred realms, from a medium/low populated server to a very high populated server. As I look to get comfortable with my new server and it’s auction house, I find myself appreciating a lot more markets. Low populated servers are difficult to work within, due to the amount of customers at your disposal making it difficult to compete with other goblins. Obviously, a higher populated server offers a greater amount of customers, meaning that there’s a lot more people to cater for. Yes, other Goblins will still be competing with you for that sale, but the demand for items is that high, that everyone can get a stake of the profits available.

In the past, Ive unsuccessfuly tried to get into markets that I felt would be very profitable, but due to the lack of players, it just hasnt worked out. Now I’m on a busy server, I’m finding myself getting back into these markets and making some very nice profit. It’s important to remember what sort of server you’re on too. I have left a PvE server and have joined a PvP server, meaning that the opportunities are a lot more greater to me. PvP servers, offer a lot more players that enjoy PvP and are casual raiders, whereas PvE normally cater for Raiding and some casual PvPers, however, Ive been very fortunate to find a server that caters for alot of PvP players and alot of very good Raiding Guilds.

The main market Ive found appealing so far, is dealing in recipes. Ive been fortunate to come across some cheap rare recipes that are no longer available and made some great profit. But most of my dealings are flipping recipes and selling at a higher price. In the near future, I plan to start farming old content again, with the aim of picking up recipes of my own and selling them for greater profit margins.

Something you may find appealing, is the incentive of selling recipes and items from a vendor onto the auction house. I used to do this back in WotLK when I first started out in World of Warcraft. I used to make my fellow Guildies laugh, when I’d explain to them, that I’d casually stroll into the vendor, beside the auction house in Orgrimmar (before the changes in Cataclysm), buy up a lot of Flagon of Dwarven Mead, Ice Cold Milk, you name it, if it was common, I bought it. Buying something that costs 10s and reselling for anywhere above 100g was always going to get me a lot of attention. Sadly, before long, many of my Guildies were getting involved and reaping the rewards. You can still do this now, but until I moved realms, it wasnt very profitable, but… it is now!

I have a Recipe import list for TSM3 if you’re interested in getting into the recipe market too. I have seperated the groups into, Vendor, Non Vendor and Recipes Not Available Any Longer. It’s down to you to calculate the prices though, as prices vary from realm to realm. Alway remember The Undermine Journal is a fantastic source of information. I always use it as a guide and find a fair price for the time I invest and to what value I perceive the item to be.

There are a lot more markets I’ve found myself dealing in and sure there will be more in the future. If you’re looking for new markets too, trial and error is your friend. Sooner or later you will find one, like I have and will reap the rewards. Always worth remembering, that not everything is posted on the auction house, so there’s always gaps in the market.

A Great Weekend For Income and Investing.

It’s not a surprise that the weekends always bring higher sales, due to the increase of players able to play and this weekend was no different. To be fair, the cherry on the cake was the TSM3 price strings finally settling down, and offering a steady price source and this was proven by the return of many Replica Transmog sales etc.

Ive highlighted some of my sales this weekend, below.

The big surprise was the sale of the Replica Heroism Boots being purchased at a price that exceeded the price of the Replica Heroism Breastplate. Anyone familiar with farming the Darkmoon Faire tokens will know that the chest pieces are far more expensive than that of the boots.

Ive also seen an increase in pet sales this weekend too. Which to be fair, considering it was the Squirt Menagerie daily on Sunday, it was an absolute surprise. I managed to sell a Lanticore Spawnling for 20k and an Emerald Whelpling for 18k, but to top it off I also managed to sell a Hyacinth Macaw for 25k too.

I also managed to get into some new markets too, mainly recipes. I’ve always tried to dabble in the recipe market, but always put off, but thankfully I had a change in heart this weekend thanks to the reipes dropping onto my lap (so to speak). I had some cracking sales, which again, you can find below.


Now to a different perspective altogether. You might be familiar with the Guild Bank profits in the days of Mists of Pandaria, where you could boost a Guild to level 25 and get some alts inside and sell for huge profits. Well I used to buy a lot of these up for my alts, purely for the perks, but sadly this came to an end with the release of Warlords of Draenor. But… as you’ll see below, this still goes on, but with different perks in mind.

On Sunday, I glanced to trade chat whilst doing the Squirt Menagerie daily and to my surprise, there was a guy selling a Guild Bank for 160k, full of Transmog, Pets and Recipes inside. Now with my experience in this market in the past, I decided to contact the seller and he was extremely nice and let me check out the contents. When I checked, there was only 6 tabs, but the contents and tabs totalled a minimum of 370k. I said to the guy (cheekily), as there was only 6 tabs, I’ll go down to 150k, so I could get the 7th tab and to my surprise he agreed.

When everything was settled and transfered I finally got around to sorting the tabs out and 3 of the items above, that Ive sold, were from this Guild Bank and there’s still another 5 tabs worth of stuff that could net me a further 320k minimum!

The morale of the story is, dont be put off from buying something different, if the value is there! Trust your instincts and calculate the profits and by all means, trade safely before handing that hard earned gold over.

Twitch Streamer Highlight

I’ve decided to do something slightly different today and highlight a couple of the World of Warcraft streamers that I watch now and again on Twitch. Most are Gold-making streams, but I’ve added a couple of alternatives, that are worth an honorable mention, below. For a complete list of Content Creators I enjoy watching, check out this post.

Gold-Making:

XionikandSheyrah: You maybe familiar with Sheyrah, as she offers a lot of in-depth import strings for TSM and even has a full TSM profile you can download. She hosts a Twitch channel, with her partner Xionik where they farm old content and work the auction house. They boast to have made 110 million gold and counting and always willing to offer tips and answer any questions you have within the stream and the WoW-Economy subreddit.

Peelyon: I have mentioned Peelyon a couple of times in my previous posts and this guy is someone you want to take note of, if you want to be successful in the battle pet market. I thought I was a big player on the pet scene, until I came across Peelyon. I used to flip level 25 Battle Pets on the auction house for a decent profit, but thankfully, I came across his stream and learnt how to power level from 1-25 and can see an increase in profits with his technique.

Although Peelyon is pretty new compared to the rest in this list, don’t let that put you off. He offers a lot of advice and is always willing to answer any of your questions. Oh and did I forget to say he’s a fellow Brit, so if you love the British sense of humour, got a hankering for those Northern dulcet tones? then you’re in for a treat!

Brozerian: Here’s another hardcore farmer with a lot of strategies to offer. Most of his streams/guides come with GPH (gold per hour) in the title, to give you an understanding of what you could make. C’mon… people like shiny titles! Thanks to Brozerian, I was able to find a very good farming spot for Volatile Water.

Pechthefarmer: Here you can find a mixture of farming, leveling and even some Arena gameplay. If memory serves me correctly, he multi-boxes with his 4 alts, 5 in total. This method, makes gold making extremely easy and time efficient. Viewers also earn gold coins for watching his streams, which in turn give you a chance to win in some of his giveaways.

These are the gold-making streamer’s I enjoy watching on Twitch. Maybe you watch others, let us know who you enjoy watching and why. I’ve added two bonus streamers below, they’re not gold farmers, but maybe someone you’d enjoy watching.

Other Streamers:

Swifty: I’m pretty sure you’ve heard of Swifty, but if you haven’t, don’t worry. I’ve heard this guy is big in the Warrior scene with his one shot macro…lol. If you like Battlegrounds, Arena or even rated PvP you have to be watching this guy. Swifty has been playing World of Warcraft since TBC so holds a wealth of experience. His streams are very fun and if you find yourself awake in the early hours of the morning (if your like myself from the UK), then be sure to join his streams Monday to Friday.

Huge giveaways and a new point system in effect, so you can rack up those points to participate in his giveaways. Swifty also streams for Nvidia, so does on occasion, play a variety of other games.

Cohhcarnage: Not known for playing World of Warcraft, but was definitely worth a mention. This guy is an extremely good streamer and plays a whole wealth of different game titles. When Fallout 4 was released it was thanks to Coh that I even got to look at this game. He has a fantastic community of viewers and boasts a very well set up website, where you can build points for watching, which in-turn count towards future giveaways. I seriously recommend this guy, just for his streaming ability alone, but his gaming ability is right up there too! If you want a review or an opinion on a game, then look no further.

TSM3 No Longer Supporting WoWuction Prices

I’m sure you’ve noticed already, (well if your like myself and a regular user of TSM3) that WoWuction is no longer supported with TSM3. If not, then I hope this post offers some important information for you. The decision was taken, mainly down to the instability on WoWuction’s part due to whatever reason. If you wish to see the official thread regarding this, and future developments then please click here.

With the end of TradeSkillMaster_WoWuction means the need to change our price operations if you’ve implemented any WoWuction sources in your price strings. For example, I have created a price string to take into consideration the WoWuction Region Market Value. Now because TSM doesnt support WoWuction anymore, TSM wont be able to recieve the data to update my prices, so I will need to remove this and add something else. At this moment in time, there’s no alternatives for region data, but there are some on the way. TSM are implementing their own region data called DBRegionMarketAvg this will replace wowuctionregionmarket. There is no date when this will be released, so my advice would be to make sure your TSM app is always updated automatically and you’ll get news when it’s available.

Until TSM is updated with any new region data, my prices will remain all over the show. You will notice this, if your following me on Twitter, as my Transmog sales have really slowed up. My prices seem very steep for some items, but very cheap for another. When I had my average prices from wowuctionregionmarket, DBMarket and DBGlobalMarketAvg it gave me a way to get a fair price between all three, now I’m just getting a price based on DBMarket and DBGlobalMarketAvg and it’s hurting my sales. I suppose I’ll have to just wait it out and be patient or as a last resort do a quick post from bags and just undercut those around me.

Anyway, I hope you’re not too badly effected by this news and hope you have a work around for the time being.

In-Game Memorial to Todd Borden

I was fortunate today to come across a great YouTube video from the depths of Facebook and I couldnt believe how refreshing it was. I use the term refreshing, purely, because of how much hate and horrible things we see on a day to day basis and it can be easy to forget alot of the good things. It’s thanks to videos like this one today, that shows there’s still alot of good out there, even if we have to search for it, it’s there!

As you’ll know, recently, Robin Williams sadly passed away and Blizzard wanted to remember him, by adding a memorial in-game and chose to remember him from his much loved character, Genie from Aladdin. But if you thought this was an awesome tribute only extended to Blizzard employees or famous stars, you’ll be hugely mistaken, as I was too.

Matt Kelley has kindly shared this video, and it briefly tells us about his longtime friend Todd, who sadly died from ALS last year. As they were both keen players of World of Warcraft, Matt felt it was only fitting, that he’d try and get a tribute in honor of his dear friend in-game and thankfully, Blizzard came through and made a permanent memorial for Todd.

Situated in the harbor of Stormwind, stands a level 51 engineer by the name of Todd Borden. Todd was 51 when he passed away and was an engineer by trade. He also loved playing the bass guitar and had interests in sport. Blizzard have also incorperated a guitar and some soccer balls and baseballs to signify this.

I thought this was absolutely amazing and a very nice gesture from Blizzard. I know that this post is somewhat different than what I usually post, but I felt it deserved to be shared to you all, it’s not every day you get the opportunity to see something like this. Battle Pet TSM 3 Import String v.1

Good evening guys, my time has been extremely limited as of late with regards to World of Warcraft, but with what little time I did have, Ive managed to put to good use and have finally got a Battle Pet import string created for TSM3. This has taken me alot of time to create and is by no means the finished article, but one that is a work in progress.

To clarify, I have placed all the Battle Pets in alphabetical order and have added a level 01 and level 25 of each pet where available. Ive also added a (U) to signal an Uncommon level 01 pet and an (R) to signal a Rare level 01 pet. There is one instance where Ive added a (C) to signal a Common pet. The level 25’s have been added as rare too as default! Ive also gone to the liberty of adding a couple of level 24’s where possible. This was mainly due to having some in my inventry that I sell.

Ive added the group structures to the string too, but have decided not to add the operations, this is purely based on the fact that each server has it’s own price ranges etc. I’m sure it wont take you too long to check The Undermine Journal (TUJ) its a great source for pricing your pets for any given server.

I’d also like to remind you that this is version v.1 and will be updated when possible. I’ve added (*) to signal pets missing which will need to be added at a later date. Feel free to add these if they’re available on your auction house or alternatively, follow my blog for updates on the release of any new versions.

Directions:

Copy the string Ive uploaded at Pastebin and carefully import the string within your TSM3. Make sure TSM is updated. Always backup your TSM in case of any errors or issues that may occur.
